I prefer FFX to FFXII simply because of the gameplay style if they had Given FFXII a more kingdome hearts battle style with the interchangeable characters I think it would have been a lot better

I prefer FFX because of it's storyline. FFXII was a tad to dry and slow.

ya ur right , ive played both and the storyline is much more elaborated than the XII. the graphics aren't that better, but the combat offers a bigger challenge, for experienced players.I prefer FFX because of it's storyline. FFXII was a tad to dry and slow.

Final Fantasy X. Since I'm the type to spend aaaages in one spot just training/collecting items/finishing side quests/completing the board, XII was just taking too long and it kinda got boring after a while. imo FFXII kinda plays itself once you get the gambits down pat. They both have good graphics, but I think the X board was more fun to fill. Also more challenging.

i have to say FF XII, its just that more awesome. It defeats FFX in multiple ways, so many i can't bother listing them. The Semi-Realistic gameplay is a cool new feature i like. The story is also awesome. And for owners/ players of both, in FFXII the sand-swept naze in Dalmasca Estersands looks very much like the Calm Lands in FFX. ...?! WTFOh yeah, you could actually GO PLACES in FFXII. I hated the mega linear plot in FFX, so annoying. And the unskippable cinematics geez. even IX had that option. 
Should I feel bad if I want everything to become ice cream?

i prefer xii.the main character is better, other characters are better..maybe the music is better in x. but everything else is better in xii

I've answered this before, and the best explanation I can give is based on what you prefer more:If it's a good story you're looking for, stick with FFX.If it's gameplay and longetivity you're seeking, try out FFXII.To me, they're both pretty good, but there are much better Final Fantasies out there.

I would definitely prefer FFXII for it's great and long lasting storyline and great list of characters.

FFX. Leveling up took forever in FFXII and the story and characters weren't that great. The opening for FFXII was awesome, however. Though after the prince died I was like, "No!" But then Vaan's brother entered and I was like, okay, this guy's cool. But then he dies and I'm like, "No!" And then Vaan enters and I'm like, "No!" But, honestly, I waited for the plot to pick back up after the great opening with the two tragic deaths, but it never did. Instead, things got boring and disappointing.So FFX for me.

I think that final fantasy 12 was the better game. It had better graphics and i reckon it had a great storyline too. But final fantasy 10 was a good game aswell.

FFXII is better IMO, better graphics, more interesting gameplay, fresh locales, gripping plot. However FFX is still an amazing game and I'd play them both any day.

Final Fantasy X had the second most powerful storyline, after Final Fantasy VII.XII was alright, but I'm hoping XIII will abandon certain aspects, like the gambit system!X-2 is also pretty good, although the gameplay is bad, if you like the X story enough its good!

I think X, because you get to play a little bit more, essentially. In FFXII, you have the gambits, where you get to set them and let the characters do what they will. I like the STORY of FFXII better than FFX, but I would have to say FFX is better all around.

I think the games get better as time goes by. I mean the graphics and stuff are going t get more advanced and Square Enix has more and more experience and ideas. I love X for music and story, but I also enjoy XII for the battle set up (yay no random encounters). The sphere grid and licenses have to be their best methods of learning abilities, licenses may be better because It doesn't require a level up. But of the FF games, X and XII were my favs
