I CANT CHOOSE!!! they are both great in my opinion, but i think ff x have the slight edge of awesomeness over ff 12, but still they are both totally great games

I dont have a favorite FF because all of them to me in my opinion are amazing. Between X and XII though I would have to say XII. The simple fact that the characters are more mobile than any other FF adds a great touch, as well, you can hunt down monsters. No other FF offers that kind of play.

FF10, no doubt. FF12's characters were just boring. I didn't care about a single one of them - I didn't care what choice Ashe made, I didn't care if Vaan ever became a pirate, it was just pointless to me. The music was decent but so forgettable, and the pacing was absolutely awful. One minute you're being kidnapped by the empire and trying to escape an airship, the next you're meandering around an empty forest and a giant beach hoping that a boss fight will come along quickly so you'll have a reason to keep playing. And that mandatory chops miniquest was much worse than the laughing scene.

FFX. I thought I'd hate FFXII's battle system, but ended up loving it. It was everything else about the game, namely it's pseudo-MMORPG design philosophy, that bugged the heck out of me.

Final Fantasy X. XII was too similar for my liking. X was pretty different than the rest, great story, great gameplay. XII felt like too much like a sequal.

X is definitely a better overall game.Considering that 12 was basically a side project, a test for FF XIII... sorry to spoil that.

X, because I never played XII (Despite somehow obtaining the collectors edition for free thanks to a friend forgetting it in my room and ended up just buying another copy) and I don't intend to anytime soon due to time constraints and priorities.

Story wise, FFX was a better game than FFXII. Game-play wise, FFXII was better than FFX. FFX's battle system was too turn based. I like the "OMFG I GOTTA FORMULATE A STRATEGY AND FAST!!!" part of the FFXII battle system more. You can fight a boss in FFX and sit there for hours deciding on a strategy and the boss would still have to wait for its turn.Edit: Yeah...I didn't use the gambit system all that much, because that would make the game too easy.

Final Fantasy XII is a storyline based off of either making giant explosions or preventing them, and its game play is centered around unbearable devotion to training characters. I'd say Final Fantasy X hands down.

Well truthfully it's hard to say.. i mean if it was just based on game play.. Ten doesn't quite cut it.. i mean yes, it is a great game on it's own.. But they took it too a entire new level with twelve.. Now don't get me wrong it too had it issues, small ones mind you.. Now if it was based on storyline alone.. I would have to say ten wins that one.. Because i felt with twelve, they played the whole storyline up a little bit too much as you played through it making the ending a little bit unsatisfying.. As for ten, I mean what can i say.. it kept you in the dark about a lot of things through out the game and the twist at the end was unbelievable..

I like both but I prefer FF12 overall, the story of political intrigue was a great departure over the whole omnipotent badguy with super powers that most of them end up having. Also the story was rather coherent, and lots of interesting twists and turns. I couldnt help but play it from beginning to end and all the characters were likeable for the most part. Which was nice considering the last 4 games (not including FF9) most of the characters were just annoying.

FFX for sure. But I did like FFXII I am not really even done with it but I almsot am, it has its good points the graphics ar eamazing and the plot is okay. But I think FFX is a masterpiece. Its a really great love story. I really enjoyed playing it. Tidus rocks. (=

final fantasy XII because of no random battles and combat just moves faster however i do like break damage limit from X

I prefer the FF XIIIn my humble opinion the Final Fantasy XII, is the best story has a lot more prepared and not counting the quality is far superior graphics qeu!

i really liked FFX, it was more exciting than FFXII in my opinion. I also think it has better FMV's(Full Motion Videos) and story line. But there is a lot more you can do in FFXII than FFX. The only thing that FFXII doesnt have that FFX do is Blitzball which is the best game ever. If only it was a real sport.
