my fave has to be heroes of might and magic 3...could never really get into age of empire and i havent played age of mythology

AOM and AOE were good, because i have trouble with an army of about 500 peoplei don't like to micro.

okay my favorite out of those options would be age of mythology (star craft online games are scary all "strip" games 
) and i get pwned too much playing command and conquer (lol) but my favorite stradegy cpu game would be age of empires 3, awsome graphics, complex system and mostly balanced sides although only drawback is that for some reason you can;t host your own senerio online.

Red alert 2 propably. Itīs very different from the other ones though i would say that they all legendary games. They all created smth to strategy gameplay.

shouldn't age of empires be in here, and what about battle for middle earth, supreme commander, c&c 3? your missing quite a few games here. their both better than the current options, but with these options red alert 2

I like WC and Frozen Throne. A lot of the maps and games like DotA are fun too.If you had the option for Battle for Middle Earth 2 I'd pick that though.

Mine isn't in here, but mine would be Homeworld Single Player or Company of Heroes.Both games are just...beautiful. Homeworld because the gameplay and storyline topped with music possibly made the most enjoyable single player in a RTS I've played and CoH simply because it's not just a microfest or unit hoarding (which plagues too many RTS games) but actually a tactical warfare game where tactics actually wins the day, not just who can micro the best.Also the graphics, *realistic* (well it has one that actually plays a large part unlike other games) physics engine and the voice acting for CoH is awesome. Jagged Alliance was also a great game. Almost forgot about it. While I couldn't say the AI was the smartest out there, the personality of the characters really stood out.While these are not the best in someone else's opinion, these games I believe shine above the others in this current day and age. Starcraft gets a special mention for possibly the best development team around. It's been something like 10 years since Starcraft was released and Starcraft is still being run by Blizzard.

let's go old skool it's starcraft no doubt because it is the game that started to give us the rts genre because the early rts are so boring unlike starcraft it has a cool adventurous rts game.

wow, this is a toughie, I'd have to say starcraft, followed VERY closely by C&C generals with warcraft another close 3rd. C&C red alert 2 was good, but not the same caliber, and I hated AoM.
