In every Pokemon RPG game, starting from Pokemon Yellow, Blue, Red...Crystal...and pokemon Diamond/Pearl, must be the same story, from the choosing of the starters pokemon, to the final battles! OK, in every season of pokemon game there is different map, but in fact, it is almost the same story!

Yea, it's true most of the storylines are mostly the same, but people play it because of the new pokemon, but i totally agree with you guys, hopefully the new DS one has a different story line.

There's one that had a different storyline: Pokémon TCG for GBC. I want them to update that to the new pokémon, because I know I'd play it!

because pokemon is probably meant for multiplayer battles, with all those 4-move restrictions and whatnot.simpler plot means easier to go to multiplayer battles, that's my 2 cents.

Is almost the same coz is a story about the same but with diferent characters, like if in america will be a tournament and in europe will be another one but with diferent kinds of ..., so thats not really the sames, is like the "real" world, the tigers doesnt exist in all the world, on the elephants, on a rino, etc, etc, but, in some facts is the same and the sames

I just wish they abandoned the graas/fire/water starters and offered something else, grass and water pokemon are too abundant in the game as it is!

.. is too much of the same w/o actually changing anything and they're just interchanging what you can't find here to another game.. I just wish they'd create something a bit different for their new release.

Mmmm, yeah. The pokemon series have gotten a bit old and a little over the repitition of its gameplay, but at least the latest pokemon game with the rescue team and stuff is a bit better. If they made the pokemon series in PS2 where you actually move your pokemon and you duel the other opponent like in fighting games, that would be awesome, but even in the gamecube, it's the same old thing.

I agree that they don't make a new story since they know that ithe olds story will sell just as good, but I don't agree that it's a good thing. Gosh, even I could take a game, draw a new map, and replace the characters and pokemon. e.eIn my opinion, they should keep the start and end of the game (home town and Pokemon League) the same, but they should make something new happen in the middle. It'd be very interesting if they made the Pokemon games have an actual plot and character development. ^_^

You do know that pokemon mystery dungeon red/blue rescue force, pokemon TCG, pokemon ranger, pokemon stadium/2, pokemon battle revolution, pokemon dash, pokemon channel, pokemon X.D, gale of darkness, pokemon colosseum, pokemon puzzle league/challenge, pokemon pinball, and pokemon snap don't have the same storyline as RSE, RBY, GSC? Well they don't so it looks like there are more pokemon games haven't got the same storyline as them. And thats A LOT.
