Master Ball is the best. However, I prefer Timer, Dark and Ultra Ball more because you only get one Master Ball

The Ultra Ball has to be my favorite. It avoids the cliche of being the most powerful ball, but can still capture pretty much anything in a big enough quantity. The Master Ball is detracted from in that it's limited in quantity and it's difficult to decide what to use it on. However, the ultra ball is both great in quantity and great at capturing.

I actually have two basic favorites. The first is the Masterball because it always comes into play when trying to capture a legendary. The secondd is actually the great ball, for those Pokemon that aways didn't want to stick around when you wanted to catch them.

I have a fixation with the Premier Ball ever since the Advance Gen. came out, but I also find cool-looking the Quick Ball, as well as the Luxury and Dusk Ball. But as far as favorites go, the Premier Ball is definitely mine.

Dusk, it was the most effective (other than master ball) than any other ball if it was night/in a cave, which most pokemon can be found.

I prefer the plain old poke ball. It is cheating to get and use a master ball.

A Poké Ball (Japanese: モンスターボール Monster Ball) is a type of item that is critical to a Trainer's quest, used for catching and storing Pokémon. Both a general term used to describe the various kinds as well as a specific term to refer to the most basic among these variations, Poké Balls are ubiquitous in the modern Pokémon world. Up to six Pokémon can be carried with a Trainer in Poké Balls, while any number of other Poké Balls can be held in the bag for later use. These six Pokémon in the Poké Balls can be attached to the user's belt for carrying them around. Some Pokémon do not like to be carried around in Poké Balls, such as Ash's Pikachu. The strength of a Poké Ball is determined by how much it raises a wild Pokémon's catch rate, and may in fact vary depending on the conditions of the battle. Poké Balls limit the power of Pokémon contained inside, taming them, though they do not cause the Pokémon inside to always obey the Trainer. The invention of Poké Balls apparently occurred in the Johto region, where Apricorns grow; these fruit were cut apart and carved out, then fitted with a special device, and used to catch wild Pokémon prior to the mass production of the Balls that occurs in modern times under Silph Co. and the Devon Corporation. Some Trainers still use Poké Balls made from Apricorns, while Kurt, a resident of Azalea Town, still constructs them. Prior to the invention of Poké Balls, Pokémon were referred to as "magical creatures" (Japanese: 魔獣 majū), indicating that the name Pokémon, short for Pocket Monster, did not come into common parlance as a term until these devices allowed the various Pokémon to be stored in pockets easily. This also shows that in these times they were believed to be supernatural creatures, not natural ones. GPs were deducted for this post, please read the rules! - tedsb16

In my opinion it should have been left at just a pokeball.I've had more fun trying to strategize how to catch it with a pokeball, rather then, attempting to figure out which type of pokeball is tailored to the moment in time i feel i should throw the pokeball. They should have kept it as a basic Pokeball. (and maybe the Masterball) And then allowed for customization to happen with the pokeball other then seals and the "opening effect" (forgot what it was called)SO HANDS DOWN! POKEBALL!! for it is the most fun to catch a Pokemon using it the any other.BUT BY LOOKS: Premium Ball. (It's Hawt)

the master ball is only for emergencies, so the ultra ball is the sweetest because it takes skill to catch the pokemon, and it looks cooler

the timer ball and the fast ball, the timer ball because the longer you battle the easier it becomes to catch the pokemon in battle, works pretty well on legendaries or hard to catch. Fast ball because it makes it easier to fill the pokedex when catching random pokemon usually I never have to attack them :D

Ultra Balls have always been the best Poke Balls! (Well if it is outside getting x999 masterballs with some code). I like the Masterball too, but it's just my second favorite because that Poke ball never gives me the thrill of catching a pokemon, from grass patches to Cerulean Cave/Sky Pillar/Birth Island.

The original is always the best for me. I capture all my pokemon with pokeballs just out of respect for the show's original concept.
