gold silver were hardest cuz sometimes you had 2 wait for some pokemon you wanted becouse of the day/night thingie wich could become pretty annoying.So i'd say they were hardest. And blue/red could be finished 2 fast cuz of the rare candy cloning...

*Shrugs* They all seemed equally as easy. Gold, Silver, and Crystal were just longer, not harder.

Pokemon Yellow was difficult because the old graphics make you feel like you have to stop playing or your eyes are going to burn out.Other than that, I thought Emerald was pretty long 'cause I didn't bother training.

Gold/Silver. They took the longest and were the hardest. The other games were probably made a bit easier to make it more friendly to new players I guess.

i think pokemon gold is because u have to catch all the legendary dogs in one try.and its hard to try and find them again after u found them the first time.

i personally agree with crystal being the hardest, especally with them legendary dogs...they always run right away, and you only can get oone master ball.
