i say silver or gold. Ruby and saphire are easy and the old pokemon are also easy but dont knowe about perl.

I think Crystal is the longest, for the reasons said before.The other long Pokémon game for me it was Esmerald. Without cheats, of course, get the 386 Pokemon is one of the thoughest things i've tried... (I never finished it 
)only 8-2 stage in NES's adventure island is so hard

I would say yellow because you have to trade between players so much to get all the pokemon. The hardest to actually finish was silver

Agreed, that day/night mode, and soo soooooooooo many badges just kept you going and going and going. Also I liked the set-up for them, the newer ones, thought they have day/night, doesn't give any uniqueness like the gold/silver/crystal editions!Definitely on of the Gold/Silver/Crystal series. 16 badges, Day/Night pokemon catching, Bug-Catching Contests... there was so much to do! Needless to say, that's how I played for 100+ hours,

I think pokemon G/S/C for GBC is the hardest becaue there is 16 badges and tere is day AND night pokemon.

agreed,,besides that there are bug competition, beat that ASH KETCHUM(with his pikachu on lv 81 - i need much time to beat it! damn!), the time(night&day,,also the days,,like..get an old egg which you get on thursday you can get pichu or something else), and many morebut fire red&leaf green,,i need time too,,which have to go to islands to finish the side questI think pokemon G/S/C for GBC is the hardest becaue there is 16 badges and tere is day AND night pokemon.

I think hardest is Pokemon silver/crystal/gold. There are 16 badges easy Jotho and very hard KANTO league. But generally pokemon games are easy.

none are hard. they all can be beat in about 3-5 weeks.i started playing emrald over again, just started yesterday,and i am going after the 7 badge.i havelv. 49 blazikenlv. 38 swampertlv. 36 sceptilelv. 70 groudonlv. 70 kyogrelv. 0 egg

G/S/C definitely. It's like two Pokemon games packed into one, just with the same pokemon but double the length.

Crystal version...you need to get alot of badges and need to catch the legendary pokemon

mysterious dungeon....sometimes some pokemon are too strong to battle even your lvl is higher....

None were overly "hard" but definitly the most time consuming was Gold/Silver/Crystal. Even though I havn't finsihed Emerald, I just kinda lost interest in it...

i think the hardest is ratsuhmm...i think the hardest was pokemon kyogre i didnt know what to do when i finish the elite league...
