So they ARE going to remake FFVII? Last I checked they only had the demonstration video..I agree but it sux that final fantasy games arent like they used to be, i wouldnt even call them RPGs anymore because of the change in battle system.I Hope that the Final Fantasy VII Remake has the same battle system as the original.

Offline RPG definitely. But, it'd be nice if there was some sort of system like Phantasy Star Online, where you could play vs. other parties. It'd be nice to have just a group of lvl 99s and see who has the better skills/equipment.

It would be awesome if it was offline. BUT if there were hard or extreme boss battles or something that you could do with friends then that would be cool. A dungeon or two to crawl through maybe. But I hate when online/offline games lean towards the JUST online side of things. So I'm not sure.

No numbered final fantasy should sacrifice story for an online community, I still think FFXI should have been called FF Online, or community, or civilization, or Martha, anything but a number

Yeah, its not going to be an online rpg that would suck... Its the next full fledged rpg in the FF series.

MOST FF are not online (other than ff11) which i kinda like more for rpg because there less annoyances from spammers, beggars and etc, and more ff action!!!

All FF games that i have played were RPGTo me I belive that all FF games that are to be released will always be RPG and breaking away from this would be ruining the whole game.RPG GAMES FOR THE WINN!!!

SNOW IS THE BEST FF CHARACTER ALIVE!!!! His summons aren't bad too. One can heal you and do magic while you and the other one pound on the enemy.

This seems to be a bit old for the topic, but Final Fantasy 13 turned out to be console-only. It actually has a really good story, but I found the new auto-battle system (read; button mashing) made the game entirely too easy. Never got around to any of the sidequests though. For what it's worth, I'm told the new FF14, which is an MMO, turned out to be a flop :/

final fantasy 13 has a good story. quite different from the other final fantasy as it do not have a main character like cloud in FF7 or tidus in FF10.sidequest for this game can be quite hard though.currently waiting for FFXIII-2 and XIII versus.

Surprisingly, I find FFXIII to be my most favorite Final Fantasy game. Seriously. I wasn't really a fan of the series before playing this one, but I've finished IV, VI and VIII before. I think the reason why I liked XIII was because it strayed a little bit away from the series.And since E3's about to start, I can't wait for more news about XIII-2. Can't wait to see Lightning again!
