I'd rather stick to my pc for online games.I hope this turns out to be an rpg so that they might be able to add some new gameplay elements and maybe have a more developed storyline.

two of the discs are single player RPGs that are part of the storythe third disc supports multiplayer online crapzola or something...

Call me old fashioned if you must, but I'd very much prefer this to be an rpg... Though some online elements are pretty tempting... But, if the entire game was online, I don't think it'd become too much of a hit, especially to the people that don't have net access for their consoles, or are unwilling to pay money for service an rpg shouldn't need. If you want online, use the PC, just my little view... =P Yay for the rambles >.>;

FF has always been a RPG game not a MMORPG. If they want they can make a seperate online version.

Here's an idea. Open storyline, with lots of freedom as for party options and character levelling up. So people will end up with different parties and characters in the end. THEN, put some online option to battle whomever with your party, old-style Final Fantasy turn battle, except ONLINE.Groovy, huh?

FFXI was a mmorpg O__Obut yeah i heard that square enix is already planning another mmorpg. i hope its less party dependent as ffxi... i assume it'll be called ff14 or ff15FF13 looks hot in general, both of them (versus). I cant wait to see where the next gen rpgs will take us (mass effect)

It should be an RPG on PS3...THAT'S FOR SURE!!!!Square-Enix were always successful in RPG games especially the Final Fantasy Series(except FFX-2 I think)

RPGIt the fighting system looks to playable for playstation 3. Ive seen all the trailers and it shows a Playstaion symbol at the bottom. If its not for PS3 im buying it but Iam writing letters.

This game looks awesome. I prefer it to be not an online game because its very hard to give the game a good 'story', and thats what I like about most of the FF games.

Going online isn't fair for everyone, like kids who dont have internet access. If you want to play a game online buy a computer. Straight up RPG all the way

FF XI was okay, but nothing beats a good ol' RPG FF. If they put online on as a sidenote, maybe. But, otherwise it ought to be "straight-up RPG." Besides, FFXIII is set to be an offline RPG already.

The MMO-inspired gameplay of XII was nicely done... I would appreciate it if Square built on this (DEATH TO THE RANDOM ENCOUNTER!!!! FTW!!!!!)

It should be a straight up rpg of course. Making it an online game (esp an mmorpg) would ruin it in my opinion. It would probably lose its storyline as well.

most of the strictly online games aren't fun. they incorporate some cool ideas and a huge world, but they have no point, so i hope they don't make another one.
