i think that this final fantasy will be the best!. well i'm still playing the third one and i think it's great. so i strongly think that this one will be even better and more improved too!

Oooh! Finaly SquareEnix returns to Nintendo, not with a remake, but with a new game! Yahooooooooo! This will most definitely be the second game I buy for the DS (the first being FFIII, which as a remake was awesome) I can only imagine how awesome this one is going to be...

When you download, platform-specific DPs are used first.
DPs can be spent by using some platform-specific DPs and some global DPs.

If they do as good a job with this game as they did with the remake of FFIII DS, then they cannot go wrong. Good graphics and a good battle/job/class system will do it just fine, who cares about the story?

That sounds pretty friggin' sweet. I'm looking forward to that. I'm looking for the whole nine yards. Good gameplay and storyline.. I don't have a ps2, so no XII for me.. Although, I did play the demo that came with my friends DQum8(?) and I didn't really like the control scheme.. Maybe I wasn't holding the controller correctly (Is that serisously possible?) but it didn't go well for me.

i dont see why ff is so wrong with ds? nintendo is the home of the classic rpg and ff is one of them. cant wait for the release!!

I gotta say, I never play my psp and play my ds when ever I get some free time. But over all I'd rather see this on PSP, but with DS graphics. I know the PSP graphics are generally better, but I'd rather have a longer, more indepth game on PSP then just a short one on DS. But I suppose that PSP would just be beter looking and take up more memory because of graphics. Then the game would be short either way.

Yea, this game runs a wee bit slow in the battles and stuff, but it is certainly playable and worth a go (even if I don't get the story or anything). The cut scenes played fine, actually. I just recommend playing this with the sound off for now if you do it on an emulator and not a flash card.Side note: The visuals and stuff are a lot like FF Tactics.

The battling is much like that of FF12. It has that same basic MMO battling feel to it. Other parts of the gameplay are a bit different, and you walk around in the same manner as in Tactics except with a more realtime aspect to it, but the battling is almost the same as FF12.And I agree with your side note. ;DWhat is the gameplay like?
