BAH! I don't understand Japanese. but I play some Japanese games anyway. You know why? I'll tell you why, because the PS2 Japanese games I play don't come out in english. Though I only have a few, like Galaxy Angel II, Shuffle on the Stage, BALDR FORCE EXE, and some others. What do they all have in common? Well, they're text based, character driven, visual novels. Though I did get Tales of the Abyss in Japanese too, but I never finished it. And again... I can't read or understand Japanese. I'm in the process of learning how to read... wish me luck =P

I don't play because if u don't know the language then u can't understand the game and how to play it.

just wanna say a while back i wasa HUGE IMPORT GAMER.. i bought a ps2 from japan.. its painted all gold.. its jaw droping.. a very sexy system indeed.. but the idea here is.. .JAPANESE or by fanbase ..."import gaming" is a whole nother culture of gaming or BREED of gamers in general... Sure you may know people who bought releases which will eventually come out here ..just to get them early.. but these people are differant from the hardcore IMPORTERS who are growing UNDERGROUND.. Japan offers TONS AND TONS Of releases we will never get.. and the learning curve on most of them is incredable and easy to pick up. IMPORT GAMING ROCKS! some naruto game just released here that i had bought over 3 years now..lol its funny.. when people say.. check out this new game..lol but no.. that game is not new at all..how do i know that... cause I.. am an import gameror was once one.. dont really keep up with it all to much... JUST dlN alot of japanese roms really.. i love them.

I attempt too sometimes. Most games are self explainitory that you don't need to know what they are talking about, kinda like Final Fantasy's so yeah... I guess I do

I bought Seiken Densetsu 3. Of course, I've beaten the game in English so many times that I've memorized the text so it doesn't bother me much.

I also forgot for some reason, I have all the ps2 Narutimate Hero's that I imported, cause the U.S. ones are dumb, and who knows when Narutimate Hero 3 is gonna get translated, and that one has like... Everyone, its rediculous...

I do, especially when they don't release them in north america. There are some games that were never translated, so I had no choice.

No. I wish I could though, but it's difficult to get into a language like japanese as it's too much different from what I know. Man, it'd be sweet, though... then I could finally play Mother 3 which has no european or american version.
