Depends on what kind of game it is. If you have to read all the words then no but if you just like, run around and hit things then yeah.

I played Ossu! Tatakae! Oendan! In Japanese. Not too hard to figure out what's going on, and it's fun.

I've played a fair few games in different languages like Chinese and Japanese. They get frustrating after a while but once you play for a while you know what a few things mean which is a big help

Never, because usually if you have to play it in japanese thats because it hasnt been released in america, and ive come to notice that there are usually changes when a game from japan comes to the US.

I've played a few roms in Japanese that don't really require you to understand it(I remember playing Gunstar Super Heroes in Japanese, then when I played it in English, I actually like the little story I made up in my head more than the actual one), but I don't own any.

I love Japanese games. I was lucky enough to be stationed in Japan myself. I have a Japanese girlfirend who likes to play games, and read them to me. I am a big DRAGON QUEST fan.

All great games were created by the japanese, so ialmost 60% of the games that i have played is in japanese. If your a real gamer, playing such games is inevenitable or cant be avoided.
