I think that playing a japenese game is'n good because you don't understand the game, but this is the most important.

I played a japanese version of a game cuz i couldn't wait for the U.S version to come out...It ended up making me learn a bit-o-japanese but near the end of the game there was A puzzle i couldn't sovle because of the japanese so i had to wait for the U.S version anyway...what a waist!

I like to try out the Jap ones to get used to the gameplay sometimes... but most of the time I still end up just waiting for the U.S. one...But now that I'm taking both Chinese and Jap class I think that might change... :)

A lot since there are many RPG's like the Super Robot Taisen series that don't come out in America. (meaning the games that have the Gundams not the OG versions)

I don't play Japanese games cuz I won't even know what I'm doing. But when I learn Japanese (which I'm planning to) then I'll play the Japanese games.

I prefer waiting for the English version. I like playing RPGs and the game kind of doesn't make sense if it were in a language I couldn't understand.

I've played many games in Japanese even though I can't understand the storyline(starting from the very first Super Robot Wars/Taisen in GB).It doesn't matter much to me,since the learning curve for most of these games aren't that steep, and some games are Japanese released only(sadly).Given a choice I would still play the Japanese version first, so I can familiarise with the whole thing, before I get a chance to play the translated version.
