I can't read a single word in Japanese so I can't play Dynasty Warriors Online :) I understand your point and I respect everyone who has the patience to read a FAQ to understand what's going on in the game. I prefer waiting for American releases because I'm addicted to RPG storylines. I'm thinking about Mother 3, Persona 4, some Koei games just to name a few. They have games that will never see the sun set over here even though the devs seem to make an effort so we can get most of them translated.

If it's a game that i wanted for a while, then yes i would. I have some games that are in Japanese, just because they are in someway different than the English port

I sometimes do, but I prefer playing them in English, so I get the story, which is why I am very glad I found a translated rom of Fire Emblem: Fūin no Tsurugi^^What I'd like the most however is to know Japanese and play all games in Japanese. That would be Awesome.

If I ever do import a Japanese game, it's usually one without alot of text/one that's not dependent on text. Like the Jump! Stars games, or Rhythm Tengoku.

It's too much extra money and trouble to get a japenese copy. I would rather wait for the U.S. release.

Lol, that's assuming it DOES get released in the US.I live in Europe, so that chance is even slimmer, plus, importing is cheaper.Yeah, if I import a game, I, shock, do play it in Japanese. Don't understand much of it though.

Living in Japan I am forced to play quite a bunch of Japanese Games, but as my Japanese is still awful, I try to avoid it. Got a bunch of PSN Games in Japanese (favorite still being The Last Guy, as it plays in an area of Tokyo where I lived 2 years ago) and a few XBox and PS3 games in Japanese. Still I only buy action games - luckily quite a few have english voice tracks :lalala:

When I know they won't ever come to America, I import or download them. I just recently bought the whole MOTHER trilogy, and it's all in Japanese. We'll see how well I fare with them. XD

If there is an option in the English game, I will probably choose the Japanese (or original) language. It is better that way since you get the feel the creators wanted.Edit: I need subtitles though. ;0

I'll play a Japanese game only if its not going to come out in english, or wait for the translation, mostly the latter, but of course that means waiting years and years, but its worth it for some of the games that don't come out here.

I like playing Japanese games in English, coz there's no logic if you can't understand a game you're playing, especially if it has something to do with language...

The only time I played a Japanese game was when Pokemon Platinum was released in Japan. I badly wanted to play it, but it wasn't released in English yet. I played the Japanese version, but I didn't get far. The moves were random, (I don't know Japanese), and I didn't know where to go, what do do etc.

Well I did play Super Robot Wars W and D, both of which only had minor fan translations, so yeah, I guess I do play games in Japanese.
