Here in NJ, there's a legendary arcade called 8 on the Break in Dunellen. I've been there many times...They have arcade games many arcades don't have, like:Tatsunoko vs. Capcom,Maximum Tune 3,DJ Max Technika,Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion, andPop'n Music Fever.Really, I don't mind the Japanese in my games, unless they're text-only, like the Evangelion DS rom.

I can't stand playing a game in a language I can't follow. I found out very quickly that unless I'm following the plot and have an emotional investment in the game from characters, I really don't care how amazing game play and controls are. Sure, I hate the waiting time inbetween a game being released and it being translated, and then because I'm in europe, there's the chance of it not being released from Japan and then being released from the US, so there's even less of a chance of getting it, but I've never found a game so amazing that I'm not willing to wait for it :waaa:

There are some games which doesn't get released in english, hence you play the Japanese version. Or, you play with the japanese version simply because you wan't to play or even complete that game before others whom has to wait for the english release. Referring back to the topic, yes I do play japanese games and even completed them.

I've played games in Japanese before. For instance, I once tried my hand at the original Final Fantasy series for the NES in Japanese. I also played Yoshi no Kuruppon ~ Oven de Cookie for the SNES/Super Famicom. There are other games in Japanese that I played before, but I can't remember them all.

I never tried to play a game in any other language besides English and Chinese. I understand both language so I can play games with those two. How can you even understand what the plot is and where to go if the language are all in Japanese? I will be extremely confused and I might as well not play it now and wait for the US version to come out?

Yes. Being a gamer, I've learn that all games follow a pattern. (Well most the kind of games that I would play.) It just takes alittle learning what certain Menus do, but after that... Smooth sailing... Well stormy sailing... but I survive.

I do, sometimes. If I've played through the game before and am looking for something new in it, I'll switch the language options if there is one, say, like in Sonic Adventure. And then there's some games that probably will never come to America, and if I can play the game regardless of the language barrier, I will. I'm a huge fan of the super robot wars series :P

I will play a game in Japanese if there is no hope of it coming out in the U.S. or if the game is different/better in Japanese (less censorship, special features).Of course if we mean in audio track in a game then it depends on who is better, the japanese cast or the english cast.

I just bought MMSF Black Ace in Japanese. I reckon I can guess most of it and use walkthroughs for the rest. Or I can play the English ROM.

I only play games in Japanese if its a really good game thats exclusive to Japan (like the Super Robot Wars series) or if they realeased it in Japan already and its going to take months before it comes out in America (like Dissidia: Final Fantasy).

I would only play a game in Japanese if it's not going to come out in the US.I don't know how to read Japanese yet, so I just spend most of my time in the game dying....
