I try and resist so that I can know what the hell is going on, but for some games, particularly ones with strong gameplay as opposed to story, I'll play 'em in Japanese.

Yes but only games like pokemon or sometimes naruto. In some games you actually have to understand the words in order to get some where in the game.

It's very true that it can save you almost an entire year sometimes to get an english version for a much awaited game, but it takes so muhc out of the game when you can't read the script or enjoy the storyline, unless of course you are japanese <3 I have tried playing a couple japanese games and although the gameplay was pretty decent, I couldn't really get into the game due to it's complete lack of a storyline and also complete lack of information on how to even play the game.I also tried to playing a japanese with a game script translation and althogh that did help quite a bit, making it possible to enjoy it's well planned storyline, I just couldn't deal with having to stop every 5 seconds into the game to check what they were saying.IMO I would rather just wait for the game to come to US because that's when the game can be really enjoyed by me.

Heh, I take Japanese. I like those petz games Ubisoft released well only the Dogz one but I've tried the other ones I have to say they are pretty cute.Though I'm slightly annoyed with Fashion dog, Board/Puppy sim? Not really. But if you've heard of it Angel Collection's also pretty good (Ha all of them are "girly" so what?).
