I think they might make ps 4 because lots of people are crazy to buy games for ps3 so if ps4 came out people would be going mad about it. :lalala:I think they will, when people are getting bored with the PS3. They might not call it Playstation but make up a new name instead to showcase some new technique.yeh thats what i think too they will make it in like 2013 or 14 around there

Of course sony will keep producing Playstation about every 8 years or so, your have a long wait until the next PS i tell ya. Besides i only have my ps3 to watch blu-rays thats about it, prefer xbox and Wii. Xbox for the better graphics and the Wii for the element of fun it brings.

Without a doubt, there will eventually be a PS4. I just don't think that Sony will even announce it's existence for another few years. I mean, the PS3 is finally starting to hit its stride with a stream of quality titles coming out. That combined with the fact that Move is supposed to be coming out next month suggests to me that Sony is gonna sit on the announcement until at least a couple of years after Move hits the streets.

i doubt they'll make a ps4 soon, the time b/w ps2 and ps3 was about 10 years and the ps3 is really up to date and will probably last for at least 5 years

i have an xbox myself and love it, but to say you have an xbox for graphics just seems totally wrong in the face of ps3. hm.happy waiting for ps4. it takes millions and years to conjure up a new console, and ps3 hasnt been fully milked yet

There's definitely going to be a PS4, I just hope they hold off for about 4 more years. I'm pretty satisfied with 360 and PS3 now and it seems both companies added in the motion controls to support these systems for a longer period than anticipated when they first launched. This generation already is as long as the previous one lasted from PS2 to 360.

There will definitely be a PS4, but I don't think it will be any time soon. The PS3 is still performing well and just getting better. Many companies have even stated that they are skipping the usual 5 year cycle of a gaming system and instead focusing on extending the current cycles playability. With the Move and Kinect just being recently released for systems, I believe that Sony will focus more on boosting its portable hardware (PSP) than the next gen console.

Well, unless sony is naming it differently than playstation, or this whole "console war" stops and we will finaly see a co-op console, then the odds of having a ps4 is probably very big.

Eventually there will be a PS4, but I don't think it'll be for still quite a few years more. Considering how powerful the current systems are, it'll be hard to convince consumers to buy another system based on power alone unless the differences are grossly obvious. Then considering how expensive it already is to develop for the 360/ps3, developers are unlikely to move on to another system to learn to master, which would end up raising development costs even more. So I don't see consumers nor developers that enticed at the moment for another system, so if another one would come right about now, it'd probably flop (handheld consoles excluded as the power changes would be obvious and the development costs have been relatively low).There will be a ps4 as eventually the technology will improve enough to entice consumers and developers, but (apart from maybe the wii), I'm not seeing any of the current home consoles upgrade until at least 2013. The PS4 especially since Sony has only recently started making money from PS3's, and because the NGP with its ps3-cross capabilities will help boost ps3 sales, especially considering how well it's being received as of now. So it'd be illogical to promote another console when they got a cash opportunity coming up soon with the current model.

There might be, but its gonna be a long while before that happens. Its also probably gonna be overpriced, but then again they might add features like the xbox kinect and wii did. Ps3 now also has a controller and a sensor like the wii.
