yea evem i caught a mewtoo, mew, lapras, groudon, rayquaza, regi rock, regi ice. of course i had to use a ton of ultra-balls first.

well, i usually try bringing sleeper pokemon to put them to sleep, then some weak pokemon( like 20 lvls lower ) to try to knock their HP to 1... so i could catch most legendaries in the first 10 or 20 pokeballs... though sometimes i lose my patience

Erm I think I did last time in Ruby but can't remember which. I think I caught Regirock with one. 
And I caught Zapdos in Leafgreen with a Great BallAnyway it's not that easy to catch one... but if, say, you hold down the A button or something it would be easier. Somehow in LeafGreen when catching the legendary birds it was relatively easy with Ultra Balls.

yeah i did this what happened after restarting the game when i was trying to catch rayquza tried one more time and as soon as the battle started i threw a poke'ball and it work

I caught my Rayquaza with a pokeball! It was the only thing I had left, and It worked!

Ha! I caught the lv. 72 Mewtwo with my pathetic lv. 43 Gengar after I put him to sleep then pounded him into submission(took quite a few tries though). Also caught all 3 legendary bird Pokemon(with regular Pokeballs as well) but it was a real waste of time.

yea catching a legendary pokemon was pretty easy with pokeballs, it is not really that hard

Plenty of times...pokeball rocked.Ultra balls dont really work for me on most legendary pokemon.Some I have ultra ball luck instead.-.-

i wasted 3 sets of 99 pokeballs trying to catch mewtwo ..i was so close at one point then right at the final second it popped out

Yea u can capture a legendary pokemon specially when u use a Emulator and weaken it
