I am currently playing through the game. As everyone expected the world is massive and beautiful with a perfect blend of Cel-Shading and traditional Japanese art. Now the Question is is the game good?Yes yes it is! I am very happy with my purchase of the game! The Characters are deep, the story flows perfectly, the injokes are funny, tons of items and things to do, find, and see. Combat looks more complicated than it actually at first it feels awkward but after an hour or two of using the celestial brush everything becomes one smooth motion of action with a twinge of strategy. The game has many Zelda-esque puzzles everywhere. Most are simple and only requires minor Celestial Brush work but nothing feels out of place and you'll almost always know if an NPC has valuable info.Overall in a scale of 1-10 I give this game a 9.5.I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes action-adventure or Zelda-esque type of games.So dont rent it. BUY IT!

okami looks awesome and i like the fact that you can whip out a magic paintbrush at any time and draw lines on the game that create slashes and bombs and stuff

Don't judge a book by its cover. Okami is an excellent game, I borrowed it from a friend and I'm probably gonna purchase my own copy.

well have I have both games...both games are good...okami is more funny and pritty fun..although I hate the way they talk, valkyrie profile is also good if your a hardcore RPGer'...it wouldnt hurt if you also played the first valkyrie profile for the PSone....okami got the better rating from gamespot though...so you decide..your money...

this game is remarkable. It's definately worth a buy, especially if you're into action adventure type games, similar to zelda in many respects.

It's fantastic, possibly the most beautiful game on the PS2. Of course, it's not just about the beauty, as the game plays very well too.
