The graphics are nice, and so is the gameplay. First time playing as a wolf instead of any other thing. Quite special.

I'm not that fond of adventure games but for some reason I really like Okami. Gamplay's fun and the graphics are real nice too. But... I can't find this in stores anymore O_O (I've only played the demo)

Argghh, I really want to play it! I'm so jealous of those of you who can. But alas, my PS2 is some thousands of miles away at the moment.Doesn't it seem curious, though? That a game came out on PS2 which utilises 'drawing' and motions in a way that seems optimised with Wii and DS? Not to knock on Sony - I'll always be on Sony's team, but it seems like it would be very easily and appropriately adapted to the DS or even the Wii... Hmm, I wouldn't mind having it on my DS, though I imagine the graphics would take a hard hit and the graphics are supposed to be just gorgeous....

It was not on the Nintendo DS for two reasons: the tiny game card for the DS could not have POSSIBLY handled all of the stuff in Okami, because Okami is simply MASSIVE. There's literally an entire world for you to run around in, feed, and paint. The other reason is that the DS doesn't have enough graphical power to do all of the cell shading and effects in Okami. Everything in Okami is cell shaded and artfully rendered. The DS just doesn't have the ability to process all of that. The reason it wasn't made for the Wii was that the Wii didn't exist when it was made. >.< Besides, it would probably be pretty hard to draw with the Wiimote since you have 3d motion translating into a 2D screen. More importantly, Clover worked for Sony, not Nintendo.

I really wish this game did better than it did. I have yet to play it, but I was captivated by it the moment I saw screenshots and trailers of the gameplay. Reviews gave this game an excellent score. It's a shame such a good game got looked over by so many people. It's also a shame that Capcom's Clover Studios (the ones who made this game and the Viewtiful Joe games) is being dissolved.

The game is made out of good drawings, that's what the ratings say.

Finally got around to playing Okami. I am simply amazed by this game. At first I thought I would be disappointed because the difficulty wasn't so great, but then suddenly after fighting Waka the first time they pumped it up. The game itself is fun to play, beautiful to look at, and it's just.. indescribable.

It's pretty. And you get to actually control elements in the game with a magic ink blotch. Fun.
