I played that many years ago. The first out of teh gold and silver series I bought. My starter pokemon was the fire pokemon. I finish the game once and replayed it with the grass pokemon, which was more challenging. I never got to beat it a second time, although I perfer the first generation better.

pokemon gold was better. the case of teh silver didnt look as good, although lugia was was in general stronger than ho oh i still bought gold

I have played all the games from all the generations that were released in english (red, blue, yellow, gold, silver, crystal, ruby, sapphire, emerald, fire red, leaf green) which means of course I have played silver, and I have it on VBA and I'm using gameshark to create cool glitches.

I got Silver version first when it came out because I wanted Lugia so bad after seeing the second movie of Pokemon. I don't have it now but when I did have it, I had 250 pokemon caught. I was only missing Celebi.

I have always wondered something about the newer Pokemon games, namely with Silver... is there a battery chip in the cart or something that lets it keep track of real time? I have never understood how the game keeps doing that, can someone please explain it to me?

@Hadel- Internal battery chip, that's why hacked roms time functions don't work.Although gold was better, I must say, Silver is still much better than the originals, mainly because of a better story and the fact that you can go to Kanto when you finish Johto.

I used to play this game A LOT! I hava an almost complete pokedex and two shinnys, the red gyradus and a shinny raticate, but I don't remember its color =[

Tell me how!How is it "more funny" than pokemon gold?I play it and and I almost have a complete dex. I have 246. :-) I also have two shinys: the Red Gyarados which is the easiest to get, and a blueish white ditto that I made (feel free to ask me if you want to know how).

I love how long Silver and Gold were. Traveling back to Kanto added to the game's sheer brilliance. The Gameshark codes made me laugh, too.
