Personally I think they slaughter the pokemon series when they came out with Resuce Team. With no battle screens and stuff it just wasn't pokemon and I hated it.

ill have to say this but pokemon diamond and pearl arent going to be 2 good, yes iv played it, it's ok but it couldve been ALOT better, much less than what i was hoping, first of all, get better looking trainers, or at least make em customizable, could do with better looking pokemon, place alot more minigames, screw with the "team (insert gay name here)", thats just old and dead, and for 6 yearoldsAnd pehaps a intricate story line, not including a person starting off in a small town with a rival wanting to become a pokemon master, who has no dad, or has a fake dad in a gym...either way makes him a bas***d :laugh:and to say the truth pokemon's the only game ill like to keep turn based besides chess, its just perfect that wayhah thats the game ill like ^^

I'd like to be able to control the pokemon when you battle much like in the programmes. I also think you should be able to choose a 'career' after the main story line, like brock is a pokemon breeder and gym leader. I think you should have more islands to see so the game lasts longer and maybe have side quests. I also think you should have qualifying matches for the league like in the shows and be able to rest and change pokemon in between. and maybe have the poke-balls cheaper then $300 lol. I also think you should be able to customise your character more like choose their hair colour and clothes colour.

I disagree with Shadow. It's nice to have some Spin-Off games, to change a bit the standart playing.Beside, Mystery Dungeon is a great game. What they should add to the next games...- Make Contests something bigger- Make a two regions game, like G/S/C- Create a remake of G/S/C like they did for fire red/leaf green, only you can go to Hoenn and not Kanto.- Make the plot more interesting.- Bigger game compared to the ones before it- Character Customization is a good idea.Got some more but yeah..

A Pokemon game that will be on the newer consoles like Wii! or something that shows good 3D graphics, and then make it first person, and real-time battle system, instead of turn-based.The new pokemon game name would be Pokemon X! or one of the previous ones (eg Final Fantasy VII, IX, etc)

First of all, this is a NINTENDO DS discussion, NOT other consoles.SECOND, there IS such a thing. It's called Pokemon: battle revolution.

acctually, pokemon battle revolution is turn based so it's probably not the game henwy wants. They should make more games about pokemon on the DS though, the RPGs are becoming so short that i finish them in just a few days. I hope Diamond and Pearl would be longer.Oh, and Pokemon Contests are gonna be really big in Daimond and Pearl because you can dress up your pokemon now!!

First they have to change the story line. I'm kinda tired of starting off as a trainner in the first town. Why cant you be a young gym leader in trainning or something? I think that would be neat. Become the world's best gym leader, no matter what type of pokemon you use. also I wish they borught back the partner thing. Like in pkmn yellow, with pikachu fallowing you around. Also you have to be able to talk to them. They should keep the phone calling thing too, to rebattle a trainner. That part was awesome when they came out with that. Even though it makes the game a little easier.Oh! and they have to have more to do. These new ones are waaaay too short for my taste. I like a game that takes me more than a week to defeat it.It would be cool if you can customize a pokemon trainner!Yeah im a little over demanding...but i love the customization in gaming.(and about pkmn revolution, that looks AWESOME!!! sorry i just had to say that since i just saw a movie previewing it)

We're clearly supposed to be talking about the next generation of the main RPG games, so why are people suggesting real-time battle? That would completely discard ALL of the strategy that Pokemon is about. Clearly what you want is a fighter (like Super Smash Brothers) but with Pokemon. That would be fun, yes, but it would NOT be "the next Pokemon game". It would be a spin-off like Ranger and such.As to what I'd like to see in the next real Pokemon games, I would just want more balance in team building. It's not fair that a small percentage of evolved Pokemon can sweep right through the majority of other Pokemon.Legendaries should take up two spots on a team instead of one, and I think there should be some sort of advantage to having lower stats. The higher your opponent's stats are, for instance, the more likely they should be to miss (as a big, brutal pokemon should have a hard time hitting speedy bug types and such) and there definitely needs to be more items that boost specific Pokemon, like what they gave to Pikachu and Cubone.Furthermore, there's nothing wrong with the limit of six Pokemon per battle, but you should still be able to CARRY more than that. Maybe have twelve Pokemon on your person, but you can only send out six different ones each battle. If you recall a Pokemon it would still count as having already been picked, of course.I would also like the customizable trainer like everyone else. A paper doll type thing with loads and loads of possible accessories...AT LEAST the variety you get in Animal Crossing: Wild World. I use primarily poison types...I'd love to play a guy with a gas mask or an environmental suit.As for specific new Pokemon, I would kill for a Pokemon based on any of the following creatures/concepts:-Cockroach-Flea-Leech-Lamprey-Louse-Surinam Toad-Vampire Squid-Hagfish-Tardigrade-El Chupacabra-The Flatwoods Monster-Mothman-An eyeball-monster-A brain-monster-Centipede-Earwig-Tick-Mosquito

They should make the next pokemon version 3d,2 isn't enough to satisfy the player

DEAR GOD NO. The Pokemon sprites are half the reason I stay interested. As soon as they abandon sprites, I'm probably going to quit playing the games...but I'll still be a fan of the franchise in general.

It is interesting to see the opinions of so many different people... and with the expansion of the gaming industry, especially in the handhelds like the NDS and PSP, there are an increasing number of people that are crying out for something more from the Pokemon franchise. There is always going to be those Die hard fans of the original formula... starting in a new region, as a young trainer with a choice of 3 starters, 8 badges, Elite 4, etc... But the new generation of gamers is not necessarily going to be all that interested in pixel-art and limited battle controls. I understand exactly why Nintendo doesn't want to stray from their original formula... it has made them gods! We are starting to see a move into 3D, with Diamond and Pearl, but that too is limited from what i have seen...I think it is time for an overhaul, as scary as that may be... and I don't think the NDS is a suitable platform... a full 3D game would be the way to go, but in saying that, I know I am asking too much... I want to see lush forest environments, i want to see giant stadiums, I want Elder Scrolls: Oblivion graphics, but with battle cut-scenes... a fully customizable character, and Pokemon you control with orders (voice or otherwise), Pokemon with some kind of trainable AI... Bayleaf Jump with vinewhip! Kind of thing... A physics engine which allows stuff like that to happen... Not Turn based, real time... an MMORPG... and scale it up a bit! A city is a city, not 5 houses and a Pokemart... I don't want to be able to walk from one side of the map to the other in less than 5 minutes... I want battling to be way harder, and have much more thought involved than just sending out Mewtwo and choosing whether to use Fire Blast or Blizzard... If Nintendo releases a fifth generation of games that follow the same formula as R/B/Y, they will be far beyond scraping at the bottom of the barrel...

first thing id do, throw in a few new gyms....bring it up to 10 or 12.instead of just throwing more random pokemon in there make higher evolutions...evolution doesn't just stop (of course it doesn't just happen all at once either)my ideal feature i would love to see in a pokemon game, is a continuation of a journey from an old version. let me explain say you beat game A and then you purchase game B you can link and use your pokemon from game A in game B, but not only pokemon, items, records, name, pokedex data, ect,ect

I agree with the gym addition ideas but not the evolutions. The additional gyms owuld make the game much longer then it already is!
