Yea, the Tanooki suit was pretty cool, but it's all about the Hammer suit in my opinion. That was easily the best powerup of the game. They could have made the bosses (and mini-bosses) in this game a little harder, but other than that it was a pretty good title. Probably the best of the Mario games. Well, maybe not, but it's up there anyway, and arguably the best at least.I remember back when I was in elementary school, I would go to a friend's house and we would play the entire game and beat every single level, switching off on every death or level completion. This was on the NES, where you couldn't save the game like you can now with the newer versions. Those were good times. I love world 5. They only had one level where you go to use the shoe powerup, and only one level where you got to ride the flying beetles, but those were probably my 2 favorite levels in the entire game. I wish they had more of them.Luckily, in the GBA version, there was an e-reader level card with more flying beetle riding. I think I have most of the level cards for that game, but not the really rare airship one. I need to get around to using the .sav file on VBA that has all the level cards in there so I can get around to playing those last few. :(

I liked the updated graphics of SMB3 when it was released with the other SMB games on Super Mario All-Stars, and I especially loved it when it was re-released as Super Mario Advance 4. I never did get the e-Reader cards ( :( ), but I liked the idea of new levels being added by them for SMA4:SMB3. I wouldn't mind having an updated pseudo-3D side-scrolling version of the game (à la New Super Mario Bros. :( ) - in fact, I want Nintendo to do this instant, like RIGHT NOW!

I could only play this game on the GBA remake, but it's probably one of the best Mario games out there. The awesome powerups and the secret areas made this game totally awesome. My favorite worlds include W1, W4, W6, and W8.I'd really love to play the original on the NES though.

Super Mario Brothers 3 is probably the best Mario game to have ever come out. It has the best power ups and the most entertaining levels.

I all ways got stuck on the world with the giants ; ;. Game play was awsome and playing with some one else is often entertaining. Some times I would play it with my brother for days just doing PvP. Had a lot of laughs with that ;p

I love it! The music, the maps, it's one of the only games that in a way I prefer the original NES graphics. There's something so strangely awesome about an 8-bit Giant Land. The suits, enemies, Koopa Kids, it's got everything. I think Super Mario World is slightly better, but Super Mario Bros 3 just has a higher place in my heart than SMW.

I have beaten all the possible versions of SMB. 3 NES, SNES (all-stars), GBA, Virtual Console, all the stages cleared got the 3 flutes, even got a P feather in world 1 and the rarest item of all an anchor. but all of these are useless when you know the game >.<
