I got to the last world (thanks to the magic flutes) but I got frustated after a while and never played it again... I can't believe that I was able to finish Ninja Gaiden 1, 2 and 3 but I wasn't able to finish this game.

Surprisingly after all these years, I still haven't beaten it yet. I've managed to go all the way to the final area of world 8 and I never got to Bowser. I'll have to get myself into beating it whenever I get the time.

I find myself playing older games more often than new ones... For PS2 I've got Prince of Persia, Ace Combat 5, Black, Jak 3, Shadow of the Colossus, Star Ocean, FFX-2, Devil May Cry 3, and Dragon Quest 8, most of those acquired fairly recently... but I still went back to give the old Ninja Turtles game on Mame a run through or two. A lot of older games relied more on imagination and storytelling to make up for lack of graphics, there's an element there a lot of newer, flashy games can't capture.

there is a lot to be said for good graphics. Some of the old games just hurt my eyes. On the other hand, the old games are what I used to play before I upgraded my hardware, so I get nostalgic about them.

The oldest game I play often would be The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the GameCube version. I prefer the Nintendo 64 version because of the Mirror Shield's design.

The first time I beated the game was using flutes... I was 3... I think. When I grew up (About 8) I was able to complete the game doing all the levels (optional levels/forts/hammer bros/hand dragging lelels in world 8).If memory goes, my best time record for beating the game doing everything is 3 hours.

Yeah, though I really can't remember a single thing about the final fight, but overall I found the seventh world alot more challenging than the last one...

I've played the original nes version and the All-Stars version so many times over... I think I have an obsession with this game. ^^I've done it all, whistles, no whistles, 2p only, speed runs, many other various methods of completion.. and I always somehow find myself coming back for more!

I beat it. Tried to do that 11 minute speed run thing, but I'm not good enough to do that. It's a pretty awesome game. FROG SUIT RULES!
