I liked PoR too, but one thing that was annoying was that they downgraded the valkyrie to swords. They were better off using magic.

There is also the fact that the only valkyrie in PoR was the promoted class of Mist who had horrible stats to begin with... Amazingly mist is actually a little better in the new fire emblelm. The difficulty is alot harder, i started on normal and then went to easy as i wanted to see the story before I went and tried it on a harder diff. I think i will re beat PoR and get the character stat bonuses to help me when i play normal mode.

Im playing it on normal, And I get killed alot, I guess i should be more careful.I kinda miss those lightning quick effects the characters in the GBA ver had. Doesn't happen as much in the 3-D version

I just became a newcomer to the fire emblem series (my friend showed one of them to me for the gameboy) and i thought it was way too hard, i'm like "o my god how can you not die in this? I then looked up the reviews and said it was like one of the hardest in the series and that somewhat relieved me... I had to played through somechapters like over and over again because I kept dying.I also thought there was a lack of actually "wii" usage in it, just like in super paper mario. atleast in the latter you skaed it a little and pointed it at the screen, but in fire emblem you didn't even do that! But I still found it a really addictive game. I might try the one for gameboy

See although people thought Radiance sucked i thought it was good because they involved a lot of good storylines.the one for Wii had better be good though, or more people will get off the game than already have.

I have fepor, and my neighbor has radiant dawn. ĦI loved fepor, because of the story and characters, and although i havent yet played radiant dawn, i have watched. it has better graphics than fepor, a better story, and honestly, as a whole the game kicks patootey (butt)!

I was thinking about getting the game eventually, anyone have any suggestions? How is it and such? Read some reviews and they said the difficulty level is extremely high.

I've only played the GBA versions of Fire Emblem. I thought about getting the Wii version but I'm not so sure it'd be worth 50 bucks...although it would definitely be nice to actually have an RPG to play on my Wii.

The game is pretty good but easy mode is really easy so if you like a challenge i suggest normal off the start. Really the only thing wrong with it is it gives you some grossily over-powered units really early on.

The only Fire Emblem games I've played are The Sacred Stones and the Wii one...both are great and I wanted to play the GC one, but I couldn't find it anywhere in stores...

Hmm, well, my thoughts on this game are mixed. On the one hand, it's FIRE EMBLEM and it's a direct sequel--win, right? But I hate what they did to the support convos, that was one of the best parts about the FE series. And it IS a hard game, at least for me on Normal, it was hard. Micaiah's chapters, anyway. She has severely under-leveled units, and not many who can take a few hits. Most of them die in one hit! It's horrible. Despite being told NOT TO, I used the overpowered characters like Nailah and Volug in Micaiah's chapters. And no matter what anyone told me, Jill and Nolan are CRAPPY units. Haar owns Jill. Period. I don't understand why they put this game on the wii, either, since there are no features exclusive to the wii. All it did was force me to have to borrow a wii so that I could play FE, since nothing else on wii appeals to me. (I'm not a big nintendo fan--being mostly an RPG fanatic, and not playing much else--and I absolutely do not count any Zelda games as RPG) There were some laugh out loud moments for me, but also parts of the story made me ill with hatred. I can tell you one thing, I am not a fan of Micaiah nor her team, and I wanted nothing more than to completely skip her parts and get back to Ike's uber cool team. The music is the standard FE affair, so it was not much of a change... All in all, it was a cool game, and would have been brilliant to me had it been on the GC and minus Micaiah.

I think the game is good. But you know, that game, especially Part 1 is friggin hacked! Ugh, I was soo frustrated with getting past part one. But after that, it's all good. What i like is that the A.I really exploits any openings in your defense. But that's the problem, there are weak characters and you have to constantly defend them. If you don't want them to die, then you gotta keep a close eye or you lose a character, and then have to start over again, at least for me. Personally for me, I like the story line. It's a good game in general.

I'm a big fan of the series. I was wondering how many of you have played it and how it holds up to the rest of them.
