welli played the japanese version of ultimate ninjaits not taht goodbut DBZ aint that good eitherim going 2 go with naruto because the next few naruto games will be good:naruto narutimmate hero 2naruto narutimmate hero 3naruto narutimmate hero shippuden accel(the BEST)

their is a lot more dbz games to play from even though most of the games are the same....but they are still fun

The Narutimetto Hero games are far better than the Budokai. They are consistently excellent, from the first NNH to the current incarnation. It offers a huge roster of balanced, unique characters that manage to capture the essence of their anime counterparts almost flawlessly. Sure, the first and second games had their minor shortcomings, and it's only possible to play this game if you got it burnt or imported, but the third is one of the few games in my collection that I've never gotten bored with.Budokai, on the other hand...a terrible, terrible storyline; a wildly imbalanced roster made up of clones and cheapasses; an all-too-easily exploitable Super system; terrible translation and, probably worst of all, the eventual, terrible feeling that you're playing the same fight over and over and over again.At least there's a japanese VO option for when you tire of hearing a gender-ambiguous Frieza and a Vegeta that sounds like he just swallowed a mango.Budokai also seems to be the only fighting-game series in existence that consistently manages to get worse with every instalment.*ahem*

I have to disagree with the post above me...Unless you aren't counting Tenchaichi 2.that game is the... bomb for lack of better words.TONS of characters to choose from.and In game transformations. I can't wait for the next one..

Tons of characters. Yes; tons of characters, half of which are clones. The characters in NNH3? All unique, with the possible exception of Might-Suit Naruto and Lee, who share a few moves.In-game transformations were also something that should have been there from the start, not some new and improved gimmick. Naruto has that too...Budokai 2 is tons of fun. That doesn't make it a good game.TONS of characters to choose from.and In game transformations.I can't wait for the next one..

I think Dragonball Z Budokai 3 because it is a solid fighting game. Im not saying Naruto is bad, Im saying that Budokai has had awhile to mature their game and it has come along quite nicely topping Ultimate Ninja in my eyes.

I would say that DBZ was better than Naruto. I'm looking forward to a better Naruto RPG on a more gameplay scale like Zelda: ocarina of time or something of that sort.
