I got it early and its not worth it. If you have a 360 to hold you over then wait. Right now theres a big drought of games and they keep getting delayed too. Now Graw 2 has been delayed.

Even if I had the money, I have an extremely minute chance of actually buying the system. BRD is not a convincing enough argument to just buy the PS3. It has to be a stable system and have above average games.

if i had the money i would get ps3, but then... i wouldnt get it just for bluray.. so then i'd end up getting games for it which are like 50 bux each and waste my money..but then i had the money so i guess its not a waste? -_-....

If all the facts point to sony quiting the production of the PS3 then why buy it, they wont make games for it anymore, but other than that when ur 15 with no job and uve been rejected by several companies many times. yeh i dont see myself getting 1000 dollars just through pocket change. Besides then right after buying the consol, you then have to buy games, which are probably can cost a lot as well.Either way ill get a PS3 when i get a job or they still produce it when KH3 or GOW3 comes out.

Some people are getting it just for the blu-ray, since you can get it for like 600 dollars. A blu-ray player itself costs like 1k. I'm going to be waiting for a decent price drop and some good games released for the PS3 until I even think about purchasing it.

yea the blue ray is awesome, and the whole controller movement is sweet but they got rid of the vibrating....idk why but i think that is very stuiped. idk if its true but if it is that is a huge turn off to the whole thing but id still get a ps3

if you got the home theater setup, why not buy a ps3 for a blueray player. its the cheapest one on the market after all.

getting a PS3 just for Blu-Ray might be a bargain. Blu-Ray players cost $1000+ and ps3 only costs like 499. plus you can play kick-arse games on it too

Well, the problem actually, isn't the BluRay, but the compatibility: if i buy a PS3, i won't be for the BluRay, but for the games. For the BluRay, enven if it would be expensive, i prefer buying a reader, and even more, a BluRay+HD-DVD one, because i'm sick of this: each company has it's own system, and you' re forced to buy all the systems to enjoy sometimes 1 or 2 good DVD/games....so, i prefer waiting and buying an hybrid reader.

The BluRay format is a joke. Who the Hell cares if standalone BluRay players cost upwards of $1000? I think Sony is trying way too hard to push their own format on the rest of the world when the rest of the world would really rather just have HD-DVD. People already know what HD means, anyway. Yes, technology is always changing, and yes, DVDs will eventually be replaced by a new digital disk medium, but it sure as Hell isn't going to be BluRay disks.
