blue ray is a nice addition...but not worth buying just for that.

it would make sense if people do buy it just for blu-ray since the stand-alone samsung blu-ray player is more expensive than the ps3!so just buy the ps3 cuz it's cheaper and you can also play games

Sony's BD player is less expensive now. As I've said, people will only be able to use the "PS3 is the least expensive BD player," argument for so long. im buying it just for the sake of playing games. never bother about the blu ray movies or whatsoever. im not really picky with movies quality but for the games, ps3 rawkss

I'm not getting a PS3 because it's not worth it. The cost is outrageous, the Blu-Ray is superficial and adds hundreds to the cost, the games are just dying...I loved my PS2. I loved my PS1. I have no love for the PS3, or for the direction Sony is going in. It's like Soft to Enix, they're ditching story and fun for graphics and action. Oh my, my opinion is different from yours. I do not like the same things you do. Perfect justification for violence, eh?

i think the blu-ray is a good thing because the games will be able to store much more data...and mgs4 has also already confirmed it's going to use all the capacity of the double-layer blu ray disc (50 gb!)

a brand new blue ray player the last time I checked cost around 1000.00 so if someone wanted to buy the PS3 just for the player, I'd say its a great idea. kind of a waste of equipment, but im sure youll have friends wanting to play it. and you have to admit, even if your not a gamer, its fun to do it every once and again

i myself would buy the ps3 because of the great titles it has released and will release the cpabilities are very great including blu-ray internet access emulators 
and much more so i would buy the ps 3 for more than the blu ray why would you not jus buy a blu-ray dvd player if all you needed was blue ray?

I just love the whole Playstation platform. It's pretty well rounded. The fact that it's a BluRay player is just an extra bonus.

Forget the Blu-ray player. Two Words; Final Fantasy. The CG Animation for the new Final fantasy(s) coming out is straight Ridiculous.The fact that there's a blu-ray player built in is just a bonus.

Yeah I dont really care about the whole blu ray advantage it think it has over other systems but thats not the reason why so no I just want to get it for the great games it has for it like Uncharted.

Buying just for the blu ray is bad because the blu ray drive is actually weaker then a regular one because its meant more for games and has a higher chance of breaking.
