you can't up-smart your brain, your brain is capable to memorise information and it's up to use that ability brain games can only makes you easier to remember the information that is necaserry for those questions, not addintion new knowledge

I've got more brain training and sight training.I gotta admit, they've improved my reflex in seeing things coming at me, and they've made Maths a heck of a lot easier :)

Yeah, it's like people have been saying. They just exercise your brain, making you better at whatever activity you're practicing, & making it slightly easier to do similar activities, because it's like you've acclimatised...y'know?

It doesn't really make you smarter, it just tunes your reflexes and probably speeds up your thought process.

I played Brain Training on a daily basis for a month or so, but I didn't really feel much of a benefit from it. Maybe it sharpened my reflexes a bit, but lots of games can do that.

they may or may not... there has been scientific research in japan about these brain games but i think that it's only by repetitiveness of the puzzle that you get "smarter"

They were designed in Japan by a doctor for the specific purpose of increasing your smarts. So they probably do. As far as memorizing the questions, isn't that giving your brain a workout (which is what the games claim they do, when in turn is supposed to make you smarter). So yeah, I think they make ya smarter.

In my case, they actually did work. I've always had problems with my times tables, and when I picked up Brain Age, I got better at them, and I started getting faster and faster at math. I'm out of practice, now, but a lot of the knowledge did stick with me. I can't speak for any game besides the first Brain Age, but it did work for me.
