Maybe it doesn't make you smarter, but it exercises your brain. even though you got used to the questions, you still need to think about the answer quickly.

I don't think they actually make you smarter. They need to give you more knowledge for that. But I think they make your brain quicker and probably increase space for learning new things.

I have to say, i dont believe they make you any smarter. I think they simply get you so practised that you complete the tasks quicker / more accurately. I dont rate that as smart - anything or anyone can become good at a task if they repeat it enough.Robots do something amazingly quick over and over, but it doesnt make them smart!

Anything new and challenging that makes your brain have to work in ways that it's not used to is good for keeping mentally fit. Repetitive stuff that doesn't engage your brain can actually lower your performance on IQ tests--I'm specifically remembering a study done on people who would compulsively check their e-mail, for example. As long as it doesn't become part of routine or inspire immense boredom, it probably does help your brain.

"Smarter" is a relative term. If you think that being good at puzzles and/or knowing a bunch of trivia makes somebody a smart person, then yes, these games have the possibility of making you smarter. The question is whether you can apply what you've learned to real life.

I would assume they help with memorization, but as far as making you smarter...well, that depends on how you define smart.

I dont think they make you smarter so much as exercise your brain. I play brain age two and i do it a lot faster now so i guess they work in that way

To me, I don't really think it makes you smarter but it gives your brain a little refresh and helps it progress better.

Well, I've done MUCH better in school since playing these games. It helps me remember more stuff then before I started playing, so I think that's what it's REALLY helped.

i really dont think so. i think that they train you in a specific way into this type of intelligence. they only make you smarter for brain games, but not for reality...smartness is about balance of intelligence, you are not smarter only for make math problems faster
