I think they do. The brain is like a muscle, and those games are like exercises.

I want to know if the MD is real or not. At least on the Brain Age 2 game.Does the character look like the actual guy?Either way i FEEL smarter doing this game, i think it helps me a bit. Practice is always good anyway.

As an old fart I am interested if these games really work. If there is scientific proof does anyone have a link to that? Puzzle games that require logic or seeing patterns might work.

i tink the games are designed to stimulate your brain into doing more thinking, thus making it react faster and smarter.

I think in some regard these games do stimulate your brain a bit. I mean, while the game is still a game, you're still thinking more than you would if you were playing a fighting game. But then again, in every game you use some serious thinking power... So compared to other games, I really doubt this one particular genre of games is better than others. I wander if people actually see results after playing these types of games...

I think they help you train your brain to make your reflexes faster since all the brain practices have a time limit. But in case of IQ, I don't think they will actually increase it, maybe just sharpen it and not let your brain slow down..

They never were advertised to make you smarter.... the brain is like a muscle.... like any muscle it needs exercise. These games are exercises for your brain and in fact are VERY good in my opinion.I enjoy them and after playing them you DO seem to think straighter and faster than usual.

I'm not sure about actual intelligence levels coming into play here, but I think I can attest that if anything, they do sharpen your thinking skills to be able to concentrate more easily and come up with the correct solutions to problems more quickly. Just my two cents here. :psy:

I have only played Brain Training 1 and 2. According to my schedules on playing this game, I say that it do make your brain to develop speed; hence it increases the ability of getting smarter I surpose. However, shall you get a lower score than usual, it is most likely to do with your body system. When I am tired my time is usually pro-longed and when I am awake my speed is usually high or on that time laps.

The games are designed to keep your brain "on its feet". Like excercising, you need to keep your brain in shape too. I don't think it makes you "smarter", but I'm sure your ability to solve mental math problems increase.

i dont think the games make you smarter so much as make you relize exactly how smart you are, but most do give you tips on how to "train" your brain to work better.

I think that anything that makes you think is giving your brain a workout and is a good thing......Also think about it when you revise for an Exam you look at things over and over until it goes in and you remember it...Same as learning lines for a play by repeating things over and over in your head you remember them surely this is the same thing, and you are becoming more intelligent...makes sense don't you think?
