For RPG games with no character voiceovers, or for those with no preset name & the main character name is never spoken (ex. Dragon Quest), I usually go with Hariel (if you seen Ronin Warriors, you know where the name comes from).

If its a girl char i jsut put my name, if its a boy i put my husbands, or just Ash, for a boy version of my name.

In most RPGs, I usually leave the default name up.. but then certain games (such as Harvest Moon), I change into what ever name I can come up with

it actuly depends on the game like the legend of zelda i choose Link cause it goes better but in summon night 2 my gardien beast i named him Kilik cause its cashy and.... if you put it the other way it still dose Kilik LOL

For boys i always name them either Shadow, Lunaro, or Lance. Girls are either Alexis or Kyra

I'm a girl and if I was using a girl character...can't really put my name in cos it's too long. So instead I have...Lily. For the guy I usually have Vega or Xeon. Depends on what game though as well. Default names are ok.

I go with the default names on the first time through a game. Second time, if it is a boy, Drake or Drayakis.
Working on Knights in the Nightmare. Going to get around to Rondo of Swords. Hoping to find inspiration for Etrian.

i rarely use my real name beacause often you can use a name with max 7 letters, but my name has eight... so i often use follet or thias

i always name characters which are the most "coolest" to my own name hehe (girls only though) for boys, i stick to the name given.

unless the default name totally sucks, i'd use the name the game provides. if its seriously lame, id use my own, or something weird

i use rune , loki , locke , zeon , zephon , turel , raziel , uriel , eric, leoric , lance for guys and sabra or sabrina for girls
