well, guess i'll just name them with my own name lar..but sometimes in some games, just following the name they give feels much better. don't want to have a chinese name in a western setting rite?

If the game has a default name that I don't like, I try to tweak it a bit to something nicer. If that succeeds (or if its a simulation-style game like the Sims, or Harvest Moon etc) then...girl: I usually name Myrrh. For guys, it varies: Sometimes Seth. Or Zan. Or Kain. And so on.

I have a special name for my character in game.And naming pokemons are the best!I used the names of my classmates and everything. And showing them what pokemon there names are in is simply funny, hahaha.

As a rule, if the character has a Canon name, I'll use that name (such as Link). This is more true in RPGS.However, in some games, such as Pokemon games, I'll use a name I come up with. This is most true in games without a Canon name.(Read, Sword of Mana.)

I usually just name them Liza. Yes, even if they're a boy. I find it all the more humorous that way... I get a good giggle out of pretending the character is a drag queen.

Boy:Zeks, Ryoichiro, Kenji, Ark, AddleGirl:Mellissa, Alice, Excelen, MariIf the game is baseball, I take a name from "Cat Rookie".(ex: Fumiya Shippo, Kotaro Osune, Shin Mikazuki, Kyuji Torajima)

I use a couple names, all names that I created (usually a combination of a few words, onomatopoeia or partial words; sometimes I combine very common words from two or more languages to get very unique names).

Sometimes I use my name, or if I'm feeling lazy and want to get right to the game, just my initials.If there's more than one character, most likely I'll just keep the default names.If I'm naming a bad guy (like the rival in a Pokemon game), I just pick some evil sounding name, or if I'm feeling mean, I name them after a bad word.

I always name mycharacters X or Z... haha I know wierd but hey i think they are cool names in RPGS... of course I wouldnt name like some girl X or Z tho... they get named like Y or a number like Seven haha... but its not so wierd tho cuz I go by J. and G. instead of Jason or Jay....

If the main character is a guy then its my own name, if the main character is a girl then i'd ask my sister to think of one

For boys I name them: Unknown, Ash, BlackJack or JustinFor girls I name them: Ashley or JennSometimes I also like to put random letters of the alphabet to form a weird name.

My name always varies based on the game, my emotional mood at the time and what popular culture influences I am feeling at the time. For example, if I was watching a lot of family guy and I was in a funny mood I might call myself Pawtucket Pete or some variation of that...but there are too many variables to give an exact answer to this question.
