when you name a character in a game?

I use my own name,my name comes from the game character which i named myself actually...

my name i use ofcourse, why because i am playing from my point makes me feel like i am the actually character am playing.

In Pokemon I always name it 'Ash' I don't know why.In Legend of Zelda I always name it 'Link'.

Depends on the game, but I'll use some derivative of Narf (which was my college nickname). Like Narfrok, Narfrous, Narfolonia, Nafenaga, or just plain Narf if I'm feeling lazy...

I always name my character Tyuru, because that's my username on the majority of websites, and its Elvish for "cheese". Don't ask :P But when its a guy, I tend to go for Elenath, which is Elvish for "darkness". I just think that using preset names is really lacking in imagination.

i always use the default , or if it doesnt tell me the default then i just go and search it up =) , it doesnt feel right if i use a different name

i do one of three things... i either keep default name, name it after myself, or (if i have played the game before, or one like it) i will name the character something like *four letter word starting with "s" that means poop* followed by the word head, so that i get a good laugh in my rpg's when people go, "hey s***head" i do get a kick out of that =p

i give it my name, "kevin", or my nick, "kevz", or anything that may seem appropriate, like Flame if it has fiery red hair.

i always name the main character if its a male vhan, my favoryte game char in the legend of legaiaand it its a girl i name it like my girlfriends name,, like my name here... hehe

Usually I don't change their names at all. I only change them the second time I play that game, the name I usually use comes from other games I like. XD

i do a combination of things. i generally pick the preset but sometimes i make a really random name or my own for the character.
