For me its the storyline. Games with a boring storyline are just boring.

It takes everything that is listed for a game to be good. Being able to replay it and it still being fun is most important though.

i think that a good storyline and the game system are the principal things, if you have a lot of things to do better.

I'd say the story line is pretty important. But the characters are important and so are the things you do in the game.

Definitely "all of the above." If a game doesn't have god substance in all areas, I tend to get bored with them much more quickly.

f a game doesnt have all of those than its probably not a good game,I suppose you could pass on diffuculty level but other than that if it's missing one part than most likely it isnt that greatThe game play is the most important, but other things like the story line, graphics, and even music.Let's say, SSBM. everyone likes it right? but you wouldn't want to be playing the pixelated free-for-all. It doesn't have a story line, so bad example. and, you probably wouldn't want to play your favorite game with Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars in ever stage, so they all matter.

Storyline comes first... the rest come later. I play all kinds of games that don't have very good graphics, very good characters or very many things to do, but the storyline holds it altogether. As long as you have a good story to follow and enjoy, you can enjoy the game. ^___^

Well what attracts me more is battle system, graphics, characters, skills and story =D a good game should have many things to do or else it gets dull

Hmm I voted for all that has been said..Without a good storyline the game is bored.. without good graphics, its ugly...Without nice characters well.. you cant ''identify'' your self with it (as far as you already can in a few games :) )and If you can do only óne thing.. its getting bored to! dus a lot to do is also nice..The game system and easy or hard, I find a bit little important >.<

A good game needs to have a balance of all those elements, but I personally think that to a certain degree, graphics matter the least. Story lines are great to keep the player engaged, interested, and entertained, but if the actually gameplay isn't engaging, then no one is going to play it. If it's too hard, no one can stick around to experience the whole story, because they'll never beat it. If it's too easy, they'll probably think the story is too short because they'll beat it too fast (Compare playing either of the Halo games on Easy and Legendary and see which one is too short, and which is too long). That said, I think that GameBoy Advance games, and Nintendo games in general, are much better made than other systems. Of course, at the rate they pump them out, there are some junk games, but there is usually a stronger focus on gameplay than graphics, because it's not as graphically powerful as other handhelds or consoles. Also, even if the game is super short and has no story, if it has good gameplay, it has good replay value. The NES and SNES mario games are a great example of that. It's not a 100 hour RPG, so you could easilly go back and play the whole game through a few times even if you have beat it. How many people with any kind of life outside gaming will go through and play a 40+ hour RPG over again after they beat it? Not many.

For a good storyline, with short movies and animations, a lot of things to do will be necessary. When this happened, probably the game will be hard (what is better than an easy and childish game) and a long time of play will be necessary. With the time, you can begin to like your daily pal character that give to you a lot of fun and diversion. The graphics are also important, but is not all. Less important is the game system (the old SNES have much more good games than the news Game Cube, XBOX or PS2, what also proof that graphics not are all). :P
