The storyline and game system are most important. That's what should make the game enjoyable but people seem to get hooked on how pretty the game is and not how well the game actualy plays.

Nowadays it takes a combination of all the above. Graphics, storyline, game system, etc...are all essential to a great game. We constantly expect games to improve upon the previous game's qualities while bringing something new to the table. Not an easy feat.

extras and side quest after beating it. there is not much point to replay megaman zero since there aren't any extras. for boktai 1, i have to play it at least 6 times in order to get all random emblems because the code breaker doesn't work well enough for boktai. 1 for game one, and 5 for the second vba. (both link version.) new game + is the best. i don't know why, but for summon night swod craft story games, i continued on with the craft knight's life. anyways, not only extras, but also equipments.

I think all of the choices are what a game needs to make a successful cool game. But i'd have to go to the Storyline. Well, almost ALL of the games we play has storylines except pinballs, tetris, etc.Storylines make games more interesting to play. What more can you do to a game w/o a story? Hehe.

I think that the story i the most important element, if a game has a dull story its almost certain that ill lose interest in it in a shot time

I woulds have to say that the Plot is the prime target. If the game is written out with good form and with a great flow of events, the game will be a more enjoyable experience.Example: A game like Final Fantasy I (One of my favorite games,) isn't that great about how the story line moves. Everything feels separated by the thousands of random encounters that occur during travel.Another Example: Tales of Symphonia has the best story-flow that I've ever seen. Ofcourse, it also had random encounters, but the battles were short, with music that didn't give a change in the overall mood, and flowed with the story quite nicely. Instead of feeling like a bunch of little segments, it felt like a single 40 hour stretch of great gaming. That being said, the Battle System would be next after the Plot. If the battle system is too obstructive, it is going to be a pain to sit and wait while this encounter interrupts your gaming pleasure. If the tactics are too complicated or too simple, it is going to detract from the fun. After that is Graphics ONLY for the fact that is what people will be picking the games off the shelves for.

Definitely a good plot and great gameplay. I guess length of game is good for me too since I can't stand really getting into a g ame just as it's ending.

I Think a good game will have a even spread of all of the options...that being said, I think a games story line has a lot to do with the quality of the game, regardless of how short a game is or how bad the graphics are.

There is nothing in a game with good storyline and bad graphics.I think the graphics is there for showing that it isn't amateurs that made the game.It also looks nice and makes the game easier to understand.Everything in a perfect mix is a must. The better each thing goes together the better game.

All of those detials must be there, but the storyline is the biggest thing in my opinion. I used to work in computer animation, so I really like to see excellent graphics as well.

Everything except really graphics, they dont make a game good, but the graphics do contribute to its appeal, also the game must be challenging i hate games that are so boringly easy

I voted all, here is why. Graphics: Major part of the game, the game will lose half it's value if its graphics aren't good. Story Line: Major part of the game as well, and take's up the rest of the percentage. If the storyline isn't up to good standards, it's a bad game. Game System: I only play Rpg's so I guess it matters. I some times play Action games.Being Easy or hard: Medium difculty is needed for a worth while game. It should be too easy, nor to hard.Characters: This isn't much of a factor; especailly on Role Playing games. However if the character is boring, then the story tends to be a bit dryier.Activites in game aka Mini-Quests, actual things to do: This is the most important part of a game for some. Other's it isn't. If there isn't much to do in the game it tends to be quite repetive. Hope I explained my reasons well.

Man this is a tough one for me...well.....hmm.I'm going to go with the storyline of the game. I really like to know the characters story and their thoughts about who they interact with. A close runner up would have to be the game system :o

The game depends on many factors to be good. It has to appeal to our madern tastes. It has to have decent grapghics that can be unique. The battle system if there is one must be Catchy. The charaters has to be likeable enough sothe people don't get bored with them and throw them away like rotten apples. So the game must have a plot that easly followed and not confusing. so there you go. Thats what makes a game.
