The gameplay entertainsThe storyline pulls you inThe graphics makes things brighterThe music puts you in the moodThe difficulty gives you a challenge that you can take without ripping your hair out :PThe replayability increases its valueThe only things are the characters. Good games do not neccessary contain famous characters, so it is okay even if it's some guy/girl I never heard of.

Everything on the list is very important, but I think having a lot of stuff to do is the most important. If you just complete the storyline, and there's nothing else to do, all you can do is start over, and the game becomes less fun.Everything on the list is very important, but I think having a lot of stuff to do is the most important. I think the game system is most important. If it weren't interesting, you wouldn't even be interested enough to play and get to know the storyline. There are also tons of good games without good graphics too.

Everything that was mentioned makes a game good. From the characters, to the graphics, to the sounds/songs and to the storyline!

I love a good storyline. It doens't matter to me if you have the best graphics on the planet, if the story sucks it falls short

Well, it has to have a good storyline,so as to intrigue you,but character design is also important(there are certain standards about characters, like the outfit, hair color, similarity to other popular characters, etc.),I mean, try to put a delivery boy like super mario in the place of Sephiroth or Ichigo...Man, I don't even wanna think about it!Nevertheless, the game shouldn't be so hard that it leaves a story gap of more than 20 minutes, nor should it be so easy as to have the story continuing after less than 2 minutes(like in riviera, where almost every turn you take affects the story). The battle system should either be innovative, like in kingdom hearts or stick to something famous like the FF system.A bad example of a battle system is Fullmetal alchemist, simply because you don't receive exp or money.Graphics are always important, though not crucial to the game(this is GBA after all). The new game+ is always welcome as an option, and the music should be good enough to keep me from using windows media player while disabling VBA sound!

The most important thing in a game to me is storyline and graphics and gameplay. The graphics usually catch my attention and the storyline keeps me playing. Whether or not I play the game again is the gameplay. I like reading the instruction booklet for the character biographies. That's like crack to me it's so addictive.

The characters, game play, and replay value of the game determines how good it is.

I would say that all those things are needed to make a good game. But the most important part, to me, is the storyline. It's storyline that makes me love Golden Sun series so much, after all ^ ^
