Video games ruin people's lives but not make them violent except in a few occasions.

Of course they don't make people violent. The very idea is both ridiculous and hilarious, it's obvious people are blaming videogames because they refuse to accept that it could be their fault. Yes they can teach children that killing is fun, but then impressionable kids aren't exactly supposed to be playing games such as Doom 3 now are they?

I think that is just a way for parents to justify their kids doing wrong things. It's always easier to blame media for shortcomings.

Video games might give someone inspiration as to how to execute there form of violence, but personally i never played mortal combat and felt the sudden urge to wallop someone over the heard with one of there own severed apendages. i'm gonna have to say no on this one.

Let's think about this logically for a second.Scenrio 1:I will play video games tht have killing and violence.I will unleash all my rage into the thousands of virtual zombies headed for me.I will f***ing blast all them away and when I am done and the game is beaten only I will remain. My anger and rage will be gone and I will oce again be able to go on with not blasting away REAL people. ^_^ :( :( :( Scenario 2:I get home angry. :( I watch some news (Iraq, Afghanistan, etc, etc)I get more pissed off at the world. :( I go to sleep and wake up angry.I hate my life and all those around me. :( I want to destroy them all.....Eventulally I go crazy and BAM :o KAPOW :( People need to express their emotions in one way or another. Video games offer a simple and safe outlet. Bottling up that anger/hate/frustration will only lead to insanity.Video games do NOT couse violence. They REDUCE it.Yeah, but what about those kids that were like playing DOOM and they just snapped and went and killed like half their school .Well guess what? Tose kids were tesed, humoilliated, and shunned by everyone. Even the missplacemen of their pen, or someone not saying 'good morning' to them would cause them to do that so dont tell me tht he was playing DOOM and he went crazy. Think a little deeper about it and see what really lies beneath. On a lighter note I LOVE SKITTLES <_<

No! Video games do not cause violence in children, teens or adults. The violence must actually be there in the first place. The game just brings it out,but doesnt cause it.I play violent games all the time and I never get the urge to kill anyone.

Not in my opinion! I mean sure if you go to he extremes, playing Resident Evil 4 24/7 and are already have and bad life to begin with it might influence the violence!

If you think about it, the only way games could make one violent is if they knew nothing of the difference between right and wrong. Or had weak morals. Or otherwise their train of thought was too low to comprehend the well being of themselves. :'(
