VIdeo games makeme violent, liike when you're playing mario kart 64 and everyone else can take the turns perfectly, but you go off the road, and get hit by the shells and the train.Yes, they make me violent.

No I dont think so . I think the already violent kids get their ideas from video games though. I live in Montreal and in case no one knows, about a month ago some kid walked into Dawson College with a machine gun and started firing away, surprisingly in a school of 10,000 students only 1 was killed. Anyway the point of this was the kids final message "live is a video game, everyone dies". Just proving my point that already violent kids get their ideas from games.

I guess video games can alter the moods and personality of people. I play violent games and so I have some violent thoughts sometimes. But I don't think that games can actually turn someone into a "violent person".

Video games can stimulate the violent behavior but it's more of the person playing the game that allows that to happen

Videogames make you no more violent than movies or books do. If you are already screwed up in the head, you might take ideas from games like GTA, but any normal person would just play the game and then forget about it. :DDeath to Jack Thompson! But that would only make him right... stupid paradoxes. :D

Ya don't hear about adults killing people all the time because a video game taught them to. (Just to score a popularity point or two.)If a kid can't handle violence, take the game away.

I don't think video games make people violent. There are just some really dumb people out there who become absorbed into their video games and then use them as a scapegoat in the same way as an insanity plea.

Well, this is a tough one. My three year old doen not get violent but he imitates the game, for instance if he plays TMNT then the nest hour he is swinging a sword and pretending he is Leonardo. I think that popele try to emulate the games you know play them in the outside wirld, mostly kids. The violence comes from somehing else though a chemical imbalance or something.

Definately not. It's you who decideds if what you see, or play is real, and if you go out and kill someone after playing a violent game it was you who chose to do it, and not the game that made you do it.

Though the people before me all have very valid opinions I have to say that they are biased due to the fact that they are trying to protect thier hobby...Videogames. Though I am a gamer I still say that it matters partially to the game. Listen A person is not born evil they are Corrupted and changed so they become "evil" people like eric harris and jason kleibold who shot up columbine high school practiced shooting by playing Doom 3, and if you say I dont have proof they have a video of them saying that they cant wait to practice on actual people.... I have had to put a lot of thought into this because I am in debate and i was in a debate concerning whether the media effects the phyche of impressionable people. There is one difference though between you and the school shooting terrorists. (I hope) They are radical extremeist that have a chip on their shoulder because they were messed with by other people. If you dont agree with me that is fine just please dont flame me because of my opinion
