Sephiroth was really cool but Sin is a nice boss too !! all the FFX story revolves around him and there are so much to go trough before finally killing him and freee jecht

i say Seifer... he was a good guy in his own eyes but a bad guy in Squalls... but i have to agree with everyone else that Sephiroth does look the coolest and is a little on the crazy side... i also like Azul or w/e from Kadaj's group... bah they all had different good qualities with each bad guy/girl, but hey that's y we all luv the games right?

There are so many to list, but from the top of my head:Final Fantasy I: Garland/Chaos - I love this guy. He looks amazing as Chaos.Final Fantasy VI: Kefka - Out of his mind and unpredictable. Awesome laugh.Final Fantasy VII: Sephiroth....Final Fantasy X-2: Shuyin - Willing to destroy the world for love.Mother 1-2: Giigu(AKA Giygas, Giegue) - He's a powerful alien who cannot be defeated by physical attacks.Mother 3: Maked Man - The reanimated body of Lucas' brother ClausSilent Hill 2: Pyramid Head - Just. Plain. Cool.Legend of Zelda: Ganon/Ganondorf - I loved Ganondorf in OoT. It gave him a human But if I had to pick only one, it would be Giigu. He(She?) isn't your normal villain. The only way to beat him in Mother 1 is by singing a song that Maria sang to him when he was a child. In Mother 2, Paula has to pray to destroy him.

Of course, everyone is going to vote for Sephiroth. Like everyone said before, he's easily the most powerful, and most mysterious. However I'd like to put a bid in for Seifer. You can't dispute how cool the opening scene in FF8 was. (Squall gets sliced on the forehead because he couldn't dodge it, and therefore landed in the hospital. When Squall swung back, it seemed like he wasn't trying to dodge. Can anyone say skill gap?) Also, Rinoa, the main lady of the game, goes for Seifer FIRST, and only goes for Squall when she realizes Seifer is out of reach. Seifer is the perfect Yang to Squall's Yin, thus making him.... COOL. B)

I like Beatrix or whatever his name is from ff9. Hes cool. But since, this isnt for ff9 it has gotta be Sephiroth, i mean seifer and the rest are cool, dont get me wrong (im no fanboy lol) Sephiroths just so powerful and mysterious, i like that in a bad guy.

I know I will make enemies for this, but...Okay, I agree Sephiroth is an awesome villain, but I just think he plays such a great role. I mean, because he walks through a fire wall it makes him so cool? And for half of the game he's on the run. Dont get me wrong, I like him, he's got a sweet blade and total I-dont-care-about-you-Cloud-even-if-im-your-hero. But still, hands down to Kefka whos totally dellusional and tries so hard to rule the world instead of running away in its deepest corner.Female villain: Ultimecia. Shes hot and her outfit is awesome! too bad she wasnt in Kingdom Hearts, she would've made an amazing addition...

For some reason, I've always liked Seymour as my favorite FF "bad guy", I mean, he killed his own father and wiped out an entire race, Sephiroth just burned down some crappy little village and had mommy/identity issues.
