I think Shuyin because of his interesting story and his strong ambition to destroy all of Spira. I also like how people think he is Tidus.

Shuyin is the coolest bad guy I have seen because his overdrive rocks although it is a copy of Tidus.

If I had to pick from those games I would say Sephi, in FFX I didn't get the impression of a 'final boss' when I got to the end. I won the battle and was waiting for the final battle to win, but instead I got credits...I would generally say Kefka. He had the evil laugh, he did things without caring, he is the only bad guy to accomplish what he wanted, he did things because he was curious.He was generally funny because he did things that were bad but only because he wanted to see what happen. In addition, he was extremely smart.As for FFX-2 I haven't played it yet, I have it though. So when I finish the rest of the games, maybe my opinion will change.

even though I usually disagree with the majority of the thread, I would have to say sephiroth. anyone who can handle a sword that big and still kick @$$ rules in anyones book-jason

Sephiroth was arguably the coolest boss, but I'd have to say I wasn't challenged by his final form. I wasted more time on Bizzaro Sephiroth than I did on Safer Sephiroth and I had to revive characters against Bizzarro and heal a LOT. Safer Sephiroth? Wuss. I RARELY dipped down below half health and I won without even having the best sword, Cloud's final limit break, Knights of the Round or most of the other penultimate weapons (though I did get them on my replays). Though he wasn't as difficult as Bizarro Sephiroth if you were well-prepared, Seymour was tougher. Every fight against him is incredibly cheap and very irritating if you aren't prepared. But Seymour deserves props more because of his summon, Anima, which is quite possibly both the most hideous and the most powerful single summon I've ever seen (Knights of The Round summons multiple heroes, after all). Of course, its penalized some because of the very lame backstory to Anima's creation, but the summon remains awesome. Anima is almost like something from Hellraiser that managed to sneak into Final Fantasy.

the coolest bad guy in all of ff is sephiroth. i mean really he's a bad guy. in other words he is a bad guy just because he can be a bad guy which makes him the coolest on ever

Kefka hands down. Sephiroth was a good bad-guy, but Kefka was a villian, he'd do whatever it took to get to his goal, he killed for pleasure as well as removing anyone that was in his way.

Sephiroth suffered by comparison to Kefka, in my opinion. Both tried to destroy the world... Sephiroth failed, Kefka succeeded. And Sephiroth never had any lines to beat "I will build a monument to non-existence."But since Kefka wasn't an option, I think I'm going to have to go with Shu-yin on this one. Just as crazy as his predecessors, but with a more believable story of how he got that way. Possession ability earns him bonus points. And he put the graphical sophistication of FFX-2 to very good use.

Out of these 4 games, Seymour (though I never played X-2 and I've little knowledge on Ultimecia's character). His "Relieve the world from pain by killing everyone" philosophy is pure win. His laugh, voice and hairdo as well.Though if FFIX was in the list...Kuja>everyone else
