I have to go with Mario I can play the old 2-D games over and over and never get sick of them but I never play a Zelda game more than twice with the exception of Wind Waker. I never really liked Sonic beyond the first 3.

i enjoyed the first sonic games. but they progressively got worse.

I would say Mario. I've loved Mario games ever since the first, me and the family would sit round just to play the SMB series, although I was the only one who completed the First. We'd also play Super Mario Kart, it truly was one of the best Nintendo games ever. It doesn't mater whatever genre any Mario game falls uder, I'll still love it.I also like Zelda a lot too. None of them have disapointed me apart from Zelda 2 for NES which really played nothing like it has became. It's also fun to run around with a sword and shield stabbing everything and finding Mario easter eggs hidden in the most unlikely of places.I'm not much of a Sonic fan as I used to be, mainly because Sonic Team have been making mistakes all the time. It's hardly worth wanting any of the newer Sonic games mainly for the problems faced, but still there's atleast 1 thing to like about the franchise such as the older games were much more cooler and I suppose if you line all the characters up, there's hardly any reason not to love the cute lil'...pets.

I'd have to say Mario... With all the Mario Kart games out there, and the Mario & Luigi games, not to mention the ORIGINAL Mario Bros. games, it's GOTTA be my man Mario!

Mario definately beats all. You cant beat the game that started it all, not to mention the cover character for nintendo.

My favorite is not amongst them. My favorite is Metroid. Cuz the Super Metroid game is rather hard (havent beat it yet) and i just plain loved Metroid Fusion.

zelda by a long shot, followed by mario and all the way bak in 300th place is sonic, zelda is teh bedst game evya!!

I prefer the CHARACTER Link, it's cool. But in the games quality and quantity, Mario games wins. I am a nintendo lover, so I never play a Sonic game...

It's really close between Mario and Zelda, but Zelda has to win for the sword element, everyone loves a good slash during long adventure games, its just really quite satisfying sometimes, to kill enemies.

Mario, though 2D Zelda games are great. I like Sonic but the newer ones are horrible.
