It was brilliant while it lasted but over way too quickly. I can't help feeling single player elements are being cut down in favour of online components these days. Sucks for those of us who see gaming as a solitary pursuit.

I love the game. Amazing graphics. Gameplay is fairly decent.Campaign is pretty suspenseful, but I haven't gotten all the way through it once yet, so I'm not sure how it will be the second time around.My only gripe would be that the characters still cuss after turning off extreme content. The only word it leaves out is the F word. They still say all of the others.I don't really have a problem with the extreme content. It's just that I'm hesitant to play it in front of my parents without turning the dialogue down and the subtitles off, and that's no fun. =/
The controls really aren't that bad. I guess they might take a little while to get used to at first though.As for the "no jumping"... you'll get used to that too. It isn't really necessary to jump in an FPS. It just makes you more vulnerable to fire.If you like FPS games, then I'd say GoW is a must get.I am hearing mixed reviews on this game. People are saying it is just an over hyped blood and guts game. So far I have heard that the graphics are completely unrealistic, the controls are awful (no jump), and that it is beatable in five hours? Anyone here have some first hand experience to help me decided if I should buy this one?

what i love about it is the game play, and how the storyline makes it interesting, and what you're up against. What really scared me the most, and made it funny and the Berserker thing(forgot teh name) getting chased by that thing is funny, including hearing yourself scream "oh god"(but me mostly)9/10 what i rate the game.

its great! id have to say one of the best games that came out this year, it has some hilariuos glitches like body part parts floatin and going nutsand the game play is fantastic! pity theres not much to the game in ways of story mode...but it is part on one in a trilogy apparently!cant wait for G.O.W 2!

Best game on the 360 so far. I even love the underdeveloped mulitplayer online functions. Hopefully they will issue an update soon with more gametypes, maps and better weapons balance (tagging with frag grenades is cheap!)

Its an amazing game.But i find it a bit hard to play.Not the game's fault i just need to get used to the control scheme.Awesome gfx.It'll make a great trilogy.

The graphics are amazing. They are truly eye-popping and live up to the hype about "next-generation" gaming visuals unlike most of the crap out there. Shooting is fun and immerseful. But most importantly it doesn't feel repetitive and dull. I l love the emphasis on taking cover. Gears of War is THE killer app for the 360 until Mass Effect or Halo 3 comes out.

The game is GREAT but it is very short in story. my friend and i beat it in 7 hours in Co-op.

Me and my brother completed it in 4 hours and 50 mins (ish), but i like going up to Locusts and shredding the living crap out of them. Best thing ever in a video game.

It's just one of those games that will always be assosciated with xbox 360Like Oblivion, it's one of those must-have games for the 360 so far.

CO-Op makes it easier to beat, But watching my friend play it on Solo mode, It is hard to do it by yourself since the AI's are to stupid to help you out when your surrounded.
