I think that gears is the best 3rd person shooter, the missions made it the best to play including the multiplayer. I love the multiplayer the most because the shotgun will probably will be ownage weapon to kill off any player. I don't know why but people think that the lancer is good but it isn't any good.

am i the only person who thinks this is an average game? graphics are next level but the singleplayer is too short, multiplayer is just ******. the controls are awkward and the general look of the game is soo cheesy. like summit out of warhammer.

Please?Second, yes, you are the only person other than stupid fanboys to think this. You're not a stupid fanboy, are you?Gears of War is Probably one of the best games on any platform(I won't compare directly because all of the other good shooters have completely different styles from GoW) and it is the best game for the Xbox360 (though we'll see what Halo 3 has to offer when it comes out). I love that it's coming out for the PC, so I can get the added content and the game itself(I don't have a 360, but I've played my friend's enough). Anyone who is mad about the 360 version not getting the bonus content is either a 360 fanboy(and all fanboys are dumb [fangirls too]), or is mad at their own, dumb self for buying the 360 in the first place (and rightly so) when it's so obvious that most of it's good games will make it (eventually, and with improvements) to the PC.am i the only person who thinks this is an average game? graphics are next level but the singleplayer is too short, multiplayer is just ******. the controls are awkward and the general look of the game is soo cheesy. like summit out of warhammer.

I thought it had a really innovative viewpoint for an FPS/TPS, but it was hard to get used to. The cover system is awesome, and the graphics are awesome, but really I only ever played multiplayer so I don't know much about the game, other than I had a friend who puked after playing the game too much because of the over the shoulder viewpoint... Noob.

why do people compare the 2 games?gears is almost a year older then halo3 so of coarse its gonna be better, but just wait for gears 3 then compare themi think its a great game.. but i do not agree that it is better then halo3 will be

Overall its a really good game. The campaigns a little short but if you have live then you could play multiplayer forever.

Very good game. A lot of excitement. I love that the game is so much like a horror/thriller movie as well as it is also a very well put together action movie.Looking foward to the sequel. Should be a great series.

I think Gears of War was a semi-easy game. Hell, you died a lot on the harder difficulties, but it was fun. Except the final fight with RAAM. It's so short on co-op. Once distracts him, once shoots him to hell with the turret. I love the game though. =]

I played it once through, it was awesome, had to admit, but it really didn't leave me wanting to play it again. I'm a storyline freak so I don't really like playing it again when I know what's gonna happen.
