there are very little dragon type pokemon when it comes to only one attribute. not a combination eg:Dragonite - dragon and flying.

maybe they wanted totally fake creatures that never existed

i think the main reason there aren't many "pure" dragon types is that they would have to many resistances, and therefore much more broken

dragons are rare and powerful and i think the game creator want to keep it this way. if there are too many dragon's it would totally defeat the purpose

There arent many dragon types in the game because if trainers had dragon types they would need to find a ice or another dragon type to fight them. You get an ice or dragon pokemon lator in the games.

if there were alot of dragons that would make the game too easy seeing there are only 2 weaknesses that are hard to get

Dragon types of pokemon are good. they're quite strong, and only 2 weaknesses.

in the newer series they added more dragons, but they also threw in more of their banes. my current favorite (other than the legendary rayquaza of course :gay2: ) is salamence. but dont you think that the dragon types are hard to raise? they always have such high level evolutions and they seem to need a little more exp to lvl up to. but then again, dosnt that make raising dragons all the more rewarding?

I agree with Pride of Sa, the uniqueness of the Dragon type is quite like to lend it mystery, and to make the legendary status associated with dragons of any kind to be preserved. I mean, dragons are so cool. :lol

Well, though thier stats are insane(not as insane as arseus 0_0) dragon type moves have no advantage other then dragon.bug is good against themselfs and phychicghosts is same like bug and dragon isnt good against anything!I'td be cool if they get the x1.5 bonus for fire type moves...

As what above posters hads mentioned, the Dragon type are a strong breed of pokemon, resistant to most types. With such a wide variety of Dragon pokemons, the game would be significantly easier.

It's very hard to actually add many dragon types without it being very redundant.

Well from what i know i think it's because dragons are pretty special and unique, they would only be weak against dragon types which not everyone would have.
