@Rai maitoWhat version of no$gba are you using? If you are using no$gba ver 2.6a, it will automatically select the save type.If you are using no$gba ver 2.6, you have to change the save type and reset the emulator.

@Lance StoneI have been hearing about this from few people now. The only thing that I can think of is that the save file got corrupted. Some people are saying that it might be an add on for no$gba that is causing this. I recommend that you back up your save file after a certain time. Also if this error occurs next time, take a screenshot and post it here. Also say what you were doing before it happen, (For example, change save types, changing the sound, change zooms, etc.)

Should have though about a back up save. Saving has never been something I was good at :P. (Ask my Morrowind character). I was using 2.5 No$gba I believe. I was just starting up my computer for a day of working on the farm and then I got this error...so I do not think changing settings did that. I will post a screenshot just for future reference.Posted Image

@Lance StoneThe 2.5b is the NDSxGL2. The no$gba version you should be using is version 2.6a. It is in the pinned topic.Create a new folder and copy your emulator and save files to it. Let see if this works:1) Try to open the rom without using NDSxGL2. Use no$gba.exe. Did it open? If yes, than it is a problem with NDSxGL2. If no, go to 2.2) Get version no$gba ver2.6a and copy your save file into the folder, and try to open the rom. Did it open? If yes, than it is a problem with the version of no$gba that you have. If no, go to 3.3) One last test, get the older version of no$gba ver2.6 from the official site and copy your save file into the folder, and try to open the rom after you select the save type and reset the emulator. Did it open?If yes, than it might be a problem with the newer version of no$gba. If no, go to 4.4) Well those are the only things that I can think of to find what the problem is and to try to fix it. Since this did not work, than just make sure that you make back ups of your saves just incase this error occurs again. Since the emulator is still being developed, this just might be a bug that might get fixed with a new version.Let me know how this goes.

For some reason it wont let me DL any romsThis is not the section to ask for this. There is Support & Suggestions for this.Read this.Read this segment of the Support & Suggestions FAQ:
QUOTE(Support & Suggestions FAQ @ Nov. 15, 2007) style_images/1/post_snapback.gif
Q: I clicked the download button but I didn’t get my Rom. What happened?A: 1. If you have a pop-up blocker/ anti script/firewall/proxy that doesn’t have DGEmu allowed then add DGEmu to it.2. If you are using a download manager or internet accelerator then disable or uninstall it.3. If you are using Internet Explorer, a yellow bar or message may appear. Just click the link to start your download.4. If you are using Firefox, make sure you are not using extensions like Downthemall, Flash Got, and Fasterfox.5. Make sure that you have admin rights on your computer.6. Try right clicking the download button and select "Save Target As" ("Save Link As" for Firefox)7. Make sure that you have at least twice as much free space as the ROM that you are downloading. You need more than that if you are browsing or downloading other things.

I don't know if this has been answered or not but, can the newest version of No$gba support save states yet? I am only asking this because it would make mining go a lot faster in Harvest Moon DS (on floor 300 of 999)

Sorry, but no. Nintendo DS emulators still do not support save states/snapshots as of yet. You're better off doing in-game saving for now.

I gave some suggestions to see if you could recover your save file and see if the problem was with the add on NDS2xGL. But it seems it might be that the save got corrupted.

The link was in a section that was removed. I have taken down the link. Thanks for the info.

You download the file and extract to where you have the emulator. After that, you click on NDS2xGL.EXE to use it. I am not sure what you mean by " just go away but i can still hear it"

[*]NDS2xGL * highly recommended.Download and extract the content in the SAME folder as your emulator:- Information and download on Ngemu: here (need registration to dowload)- Download mirror: here (no registration required)The main purpose is to enlarge your little emulator screens as well as giving you the opportunity to rotate them (useful for some games like Brain Age). The stable version of NDS2xGL is now very good and can improve No$gba performances while the old beta version caused serious lags. However, for some systems, it may not work (mainly Vista users), please read the information thread on Ngemu for help.[/list][*]STEP 3: Download the romsAll NDS roms can be found on DGEmu. [*]STEP 4: Run the romsIMPORTANT: Unzip the rom. However starting from v2.5c, zip files are supported as well but I wouldn't want to risk too much and prefer play with uncompressed roms.Click on NDS2xGL.EXE (or NO$GBA.EXE if you don't can't/want to use NDS2xGL). A window will pop up asking you which file to load. Chose a rom and click on 'OK'. Depending on the compatibility of the rom, it can run or not. Just pray for it to work.

It's been awhile since I've tried DS emulation and I have a simple question to ask.Do most games still run like crap? I mean, super-slow speeds and stuff. Thanks in advance.

As long as your computer isn't pathetic and that you are not using up all your resources (CPU, memory, etc), then it runs pretty fine and not that noticeably different from standard play
