Ideas is alsot not so slow as it has been some months ago. Well with speed it cant compeed with nosgba but for The World ends with you it fast enough. cause the battles will get hard enough if you play on normal oder hard mode :lazy:POINTS were deducted for this post by Channel28Please refer to the forum rules to find out why your points were deducted.

I'm playin Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness right now, and I notice some missing text on the buttons on the touchscreen. Is there a way to fix that? Or should I wait for a new version. And the game is still playable, tho. And yes, I got the rom from this site, I am using No$gba 2.6a.

@DominöSo far, I have not hear of a way to fix it. It might be fixed if there is a new version of no$gba.

It could also be attributed to being a brand new game, therefore the current roms may be a little buggy.

Can i get more detailed info on how to use a save? I took a pokemon pearl save, converted it, and put it in my battery folder. When i start the game, i find my old saved file. What happened to the one in the Battery then? I'm just too confused :)

First of all, make sure you converted it correctly (you selected the right save types).Second, make sure the ROM name and the save file name are EXACTLY the same (ignoring file extensions. eg. .sav or .nds).Third, place it in your Battery folder. (also if you have a save file for the game already in the battery folder, you can Copy that name and paste it on the new save file then replace the first one with the new one).Try it like that and tell me if it works :)

I'm just going to note my personal experience, the more recent games (Metroid Prime hunters, Megaman Starforce ZxN, even TC:UTK2) only save on the highest FLASH save type, I would download the 2.6 just for convenience, but I don't have a paypal or a credit card to pay with. And thanks for the guide, it really helps a lot, even if I have to reset 30 min's worth of data to get a save out of it right now. All my problems so far (Except with TC:UTK1, which was just because it sucked at making sutures register) have been fixed by this guide.POINTS were deducted for this post by GBATESTPlease refer to the forum rules to find out why your points were deducted.Edit: While I personally disagree with the above, that's not what I'm editing for. I'm having an issue with Megaman now, in that the emulator is either too fast or too slow (Between Unlimited MHZ Disaster 10% and 50% respectively.) I've tried turning off and decreasing certain options to make it faster, but with 10%, I was still lagging in battle. A note to the above, I didn't ask to download the 2.6. Once again, it says I would have to pay. Unless I'm missing something, I'm not spamming.

This add nothing so it is spam. There is a pinned topic where you can get 2.6a.

You lost points because your posts add nothing to this topic. There is a pinned topic by PlaySwiss that has the version of no$gba 2.6a. You said that Metroid Prime hunters, Megaman Starforce ZxN, even TC:UTK2 only save on the highest FLASH save type. There is a link in the first post the tells you where to find the save types. This is the reason your post is spam and you lost points. Everything you said can be found in the first post:

1. How to Use No$gba?[list][*]STEP 1: Download the emulatorThe latest version of No$gba can be found here. Download the latest version, then create a new folder and extract the emulator therein.......[*]You can find the save type at PocketHeaven or at dualscene.[*]If the information is not available, try all possible save types until you find the good one (tip: EEPROM 64KBytes is the most used as of yet, start with this one).

Now to your edit, I am assuming your talking about the Megaman Starforce:Leon/Dragon/Pegasus. Right now, it works best on no$gba 2.6 as stated by Ody in this post. No$gba 2.6 can be downloaded from main site of no$gba for free. You said that you tried Between Unlimited MHZ Disaster 10% and 50% respectively and it is too fast or too slow. You can try the other options to see which one will work best on your PC. You can try RealTime*1.5, Auto or RealTime*2, Auto. If it is still too fast than, there is nothing much you can do.

I'm trying to play Jump Ultimate Stars for NDS using No$gba 2.6a, the game for the most part runs OK, but in the main screen, the "cursor", when placed over various options, looks pixellated and bizarre (it's supposed to look like a circle). Is this a problem with the ROM, emulator, or even my hardware? (I don't know what the problem is with, and that's why I put this post in this thread; sorry if this is not the right place to put it; the search feature also doesn't seem to be working, so I couldn't check if the problem was solved before already)

First of all check if you've got no$gba 2.6a, because this is the latest version (download it from the pinned topics or from the first page). If you do have 2.6a, then you should try to change the 3d renderer. I don't know if this is the problem because you I don't play the game. Ah well, go to options--> emulation setup and look at 3D renderer, it should be NOCASH at 2.6a by default. Try to change it to opengl or none. You'll notice it at once if it has any effect. If it doesn't, then try to download from this site if you haven't done it. If all of this doesn't work, then it is the emulator, just wait for a new version of no$gba to come out (which probably won't because the latest version is from April '08). So with other words try to play it without the cursor working. And last but not least, try using Ideas (also located in the pinned topics). I hope this helps you out! (on a side note: it does work with most flashcarts)

I stated in my prev. post, I already do have 2.6a, yes.

If you do have 2.6a, then you should try to change the 3d renderer. I don't know if this is the problem because you I don't play the game. Ah well, go to options--> emulation setup and look at 3D renderer, it should be NOCASH at 2.6a by default. Try to change it to opengl or none.

I tried all this before I posted here... On a note though, when I switch from OpenGL to nocash, the game is visible, but when trying to do the opposite, both screens turn black (but audio can still be heard) and I'm forced to reset. Does this mean anything... ? Plus, the game isn't 3D to begin with, so are 3D settings at all relevant?

And last but not least, try using Ideas (also located in the pinned topics). I hope this helps you out! (on a side note: it does work with most flashcarts)

It's way too slow for me. But thanks for the help. :D Oh well, I guess I'll have to live with the ugly cursor for the time being. ^^;

I don't know if this is on topic or anything but after playing No$gba for a while I saw the folder had another folder in it named "SLOT". What significance does the place with No$gba?

Slot is where no$gba looks for the roms. You can save your roms into that folder or have it save somewhere else and got to it after you start no$gba.

I see. I had thought at first it was some way to finally input gba games in slots. Thinking that it would, perhaps, recognize a rom of the game and that could solve the age old dilemma of certain unlockables (Pokemon games being the best example). Thanks for clearing that up.

anyone try Lock's Quest yet? I tried to play it but the game would crash using no$gba 2.6a, Like the intro would play then you get to the tutorial, tells you to talk to ur sister, right after she says "Since when do I get in the way" The emulator stops and you get a pop-up that says "Rom-image has crashed"

Change the emulation speed if you think the emulator is too slow, you can access it trough options--> emulation options, the default is realtime, but you can mess with the option and see what happens

1. Are you sure you set the 3d renderer to nocash? because is reported to be working, you can access it via options--> emulation options and look at 3D renderer it should be nocash by defalut. If you don't see this selection you don't have 2.6a as you claim2. Dunno didn't hear anything about that, but I think it was the version of no$gba....3. This is normal for final fantasy IV, the emulator has some problems with certain texts, just like mmzx: advent and some other games. The best advice is to wait for a new version of no$gba to come out.

Well 3 other things you can do are:1. Turning the sound off2. Turning all other applications off while playing (like msn or your virus scanner3. Make your pc faster. The first 2 are pretty normal things, but I wouldn't do option 3 unless your pc is veeeery slow
