Well, you can also try it this way, without using your mic (this was in the first post of the topic):

Q: How can you play a game without a MIC?A: Please read this post from ngemu about Audacity.

Okay slightly less confusing explanation of what I did. You don't need a microphone to make this work. I have this free open source audio recording program called Audacity. In it you can select which source to record from in that drop down box from the top (as seen in the picture). It defaults to microphone, selecting Stereo/Mono mix makes it record from what's playing in your speakers. However instead of just just doing that, it seems to change what's being played directly into mic input in windows itself. Meaning if you leave it on Stereo/Mono Mix and close the program, put on some music and open anything else that records from the mic (teamspeak, windows sound recorder, skype) and you will notice it to will instead of grabbing mic input, grab what's being played. So if you don't have a mic, you can just leave it on Stereo Mix and any sound/music being played No$gba should think is mic input (as I said the music in Phoenix Wright 1 was good enough to blow away the fingerprint dust). Of course since mic input in No$gba only works if sound is on, you can't stop it from accepting the music as input at will (well you could probably just turn sound off for a second then turn it back on, I've no game that requires that to try it out on). This of course probably will make your mic useless, however simply setting the drop-down box in Audacity back to Microphone should make it work again in Windows. Hopefully that helps. Apparently Hiei-YYH and sigmax got this to work so hopefully it'll work for others.Super Simple explanation minus the reasoning or observations above. Get Audacity, select stereo mix in the drop down box as pictured. Close the program. No$gba will now pick up sound being played as mic input, the emulator's music will have some effect, play something in an audio player for more noise.

So try this and see if this works.

@immortal846No, you do not need to record. Read this:

You should be able to change it (in windows atleast) in the control panel > sounds and audio devices > voice tab > volume button under voice recording and then just tick Stereo Mix*shrug*

Use Analog Mix. I'm guessing you have an old sound card that can't do stereo, only analog.

I'm playing Bella Sara at the moment and when I finished the magical orchard master adventure my game freezes and error messages pop up and end with a final message saying unexpected error, and when I reopen my game it hasn't saved and has gone back to the start, Does anyone know what the problem is? I'm using No$Gba 2.6a along with NDS2xGL210/8 Sort of fixed the saving problem, but still having the other problem with the game, help is really needed, thanks

Has there been any information about an update? I've noticed that No$gba has problems running many of the recent batches of DS games (especially those with any form of 3D graphics), so I was hoping the programmer hasn't up and vanished. <_>

I've been hearing word about v2.7 being released in the same manner 2.6 and 2.6a were - donationware (donate to the developer and get the file). I don't know any more details, but a new version is still expected.

I am having trouble with Bleach: Dark Souls ROM. There is a fight for points in the story mode, but opponent (Ganju) and me (Ichigo) get the same amount of points all the time. I can't win because I need to have more points than my opponent. Is there a solution?I am using NO$GBA 2.6aEDIT: Nevermind, the problem fixed itself and I got to continue, but the points were still tied. :biggrin2: Dunno what happened.

Although no$gba can decompress some roms, it's not recommended, because you can get some serious errors which only mean extract the rom, so yeah you need to do it if you want to play games. Although, if you want to save some space on your hard disk, you can trim your roms.

Thanks for the very detailed information. I want to start a handheld review site but I need a way to capture NDS without having a devkit, and this looks to be key.POINTS were deducted for this post by KHRSPlease refer to the forum rules to find out why your points were deducted.

What are the 4 D-Pad placed circles on the screen when playing Harvest Moon Island of Happiness? Does anyone know why some things that are suppose to be like buttons that you press to do stuff don't work? Example: Was how when you first started the end was invisible. How come various things through out the game are like that? Is it because I'm using NO$GBA ????Just wondering cause I'm thinking about trying all the other emulators to see if there is a difference or not. Would like some advice if you have any. Thanks!

No$gba 2.7 is a fake. I've seen it and everyone said its a fake anyway. Where did you hear it from?POINTS were deducted for this post by Channel28Please refer to the forum rules to find out why your points were deducted.

You could try using another save type. Not all games work perfectly with Auto save type yet. Or you could try saving in another save slot. That trick works with Rune Factory.3. u said, "tip: EEPROM 64KBytes is the most used as of yet, start with this one" but i use auto as i state it above, so which is better? 64KBytes? or auto setting? Not all games work perfectly with Auto save type yet. Some games still require the save type.
