Also no$gba needs to be closed before it writes the save file. If no$gba crashes before it is closed, you will lose your save file.# STEP 5: Save type * it can be skipped if you use v2.6a and above but just in case, read below for troubleshooting * If you encounter an error saying something along the lines of "failed to read data" or "reinsert cartridge", just go to Options -> Emulation Setup and under NDS Backup Media, choose the correct save type. * You can find the save type at PocketHeaven or at dualscene. * If the information is not available, try all possible save types until you find the good one (tip: EEPROM 64KBytes is the most used as of yet, start with this one). * Save the setting (Options -> Save options) so that the save type is saved. * Go to File -> Reset Cartridge. If you skip out this step, the rom still won't save. The rom must be reset for the new save type to take effect. Now you have in game save support. * If saving still doesn't work, try using the size eight times smaller than the one listed. For example, EEPROM 64kb (notice the lower case 'b') is the same as EEPROM 8kB (notice the upper case 'B'). This is because there are eight bits ('b') in every byte ('B'). This a chart for save types. EEPROM - 4Kbit = EEPROM 0.5KBytes EEPROM - 64Kbit = EEPROM 8KBytes EEPROM - 512Kbit = EEPROM 64KBytes FLASH 2048Kbit(2Mbit) = FLASH 256KBytes FLASH 4096Kbit(4Mbit) = FLASH 512KBytes FRAM 256Kbit = FRAM 32KByte

Made a pointless thread. Now asking here.I recently downloaded Princess Debut and tried to play it on the No$GBA. I have the newest No$GBA version, and it plays just fine through the opening credits, character naming, and prologue, but when it comes to the dancing/gameplay element of the game, No$GBA encounters a problem and needs to close. This is the only ROM I have that does this- at first I thought the game had an autosave feature and because it wasn't on the correct save type crashed, but I put it on the EEPROM64kb and it still did the same thing. I can't even use the practice feature on the main menu!Like I said, there's nothing wrong with my No$GBA, and this is the only game that fails like this. I searched through the forums already looking for a solution, but I didn't see one.

As much as I'd like to say that this is true...it's not. Only Desmume seems to be consistently avoiding crashes with that game.Just for the record, to avoid random battle crashes playing Super Robot Taisen, use no$Zoomer.

Use the very latest version, 2.6a. You can find it on the first page in this topic. You can set the save type on auto detect. If that doesn't work, the game isn't compatible on No$. You'll have to use another emulator.Made a pointless thread. Now asking here.
I haven't had a single crash on no$ with NGzoom. As much as I'd like to say that this is true...it's not. Only Desmume seems to be consistently avoiding crashes with that game.

It's the emulator's fault. If the game says that it couldn't connect, then it means that you need wi-fi in order to go underground, the system is probably different from diamond and pearl. Just keep in mind not to use things that need wi-fi and play the normal game. It might be a pain that you can't get evolution stones or fossils, but it's better than nothing.hi i was playing pokemon platium but whenever i tried using the explorer kit a message appears saying connection failed. I know wifi doesn't work on emulators but i've played pokemon pearl before and i know that the explorer kit is supposed to work, i just wanna know if it's the rom or emulater's fault

Ngzoom is an application to enlarge your screen, so you can only play the game with a bigger screen then usual. If you want to play the game with a normal size screen you need to use no$gba itself. Can you play with ngzoom and still in normal size? Or do I have to live with the scaled game?
