So is it to my understanding that NDS Roms can still not write a snapshot and load it without crashing or has there been a fix? Didn't know how often you update this section so I was just curious. Anyhow I have one other question... hope its not to much trouble to post it here because I sure wouldn't want to get GP's taken because I'm a dedicated member thus far. Anyhow the question is if I'm playing a game that has a game on the DS and GBA such as Pokemon Platinum is it going to be possible for me to trade between Fire Red and Platinum if I play Fire-Red on VBA and Platinum on No$GBA? or would I have to play both on the same emulator in order to ever trade between the two?Sincerely,Dragon Spirit

You can't trade between NDS and GBA games on any emulator yet. You'll have to get a real DS and a flash cart that allows that.As for save states, no$gba doesn't support it, but lately versions of Desmume have, as they've been adding rerecording capabilities for the folks at TASVideos. It's often times pretty slow (from what I've heard), but it works. I don't know if it's incorporated into the regular version of Desmume yet though. Well that certainly just blows lol! I'd thought hopefully I would be able to. Guess I'll just have to play Platinum without getting a Charizard or any thing from the older games unless I do as you said with the flashkart thing. I've never went any farther than using emulators when it comes to roms. I guess it wouldn't hurt to go out and get a DSi and than the whole flashkart deal. Don't get a DSi. Remember - there's no GBA slot in there. And likely thus you can't link NDS-GBA games, even with flash carts that support it (the few that DO work on the DSi, anyways).Get either a Phat or a Lite. But skip the DSi.

I'll put up a link for the firmware editor with a warning that you shouldn't let no$gba start up the firmware, I got some nasty crashes with that......BTW: Don't you ever do that again, got that? I took every step and read every question and none of them helped me whith my problem. I downloaded Pokemon Platinum and it works fine, except it doesn't save. I tried every save type, but none worked. What can I do?

Download 2.6a from the first post. It has Auto save type. And remember to save your options.

Even if you can afford it, you still can't get it as the donation is down and its after donating then you will get no$gba 2.6a. Your best bet is to download it from dgemu: http://www.dgemu.com...showtopic=68847According to the first post. 2.6a is NOT free. And I can't afford anything at the moment.

As stated in the first you cannot use features that utilize a GBA game in the second slot. And there ISN'T any way that 2.7 will come out because the maker has abandoned the project and left the emulator for dead. No other emulator can do it either, so just like with wi-fi and multi-player it probably won't be something that will be added in the future

Hey.. um... can someone help me out? I played Rune Factory II : A Harvest Moon game, well it worked fine but... the problem is, the intro video is slow (Around 50% than 100%) that i couldn't watched it. What's the problem of it? [And it work fine when i'm playing it] and I used No$gba v2.6a :3

How can you increase the resolution if you are playing on PC, so i.e. you have a larger game-window instead of using the 100% DS-sized ?Secondly, any clues on why the upper screen is constantly flashing in between black and actual game visuals when playing Knights in a Nightmare ?

You can use NDS2xGL, myZoom and NGZoom to increase the size of the window. I recomend using NGzoom. You can find more info on the first post.And I've heard the flashing screen is because your processor isn't fast enough.

Can anyone confirm that an E6600 running at 2.8 GHZ each is not enough for smooth gameplay ?EDIT: Afterpost, this whole black-flash thingy only with Knights of the Nightmare, after i hit the stylus to get into the titlemenu. In addition, the sound is stuttering.Bug ? Copy-Protection ? Other games work.

starfy is unplayable on no$. when you start you just stand there no buttons work whatsoever. and it's off screen too

Weird. Because people are TASing that game. Unless it was fixed for the rerecording version of DeSmuME, but I doubt it's that.

Advance Wars Days of Ruin is not playable.I have checked ALL the pages (yes all the 217 with ctrl-f looking for "advance wars") and for the few solutions I have found they mostly stick to saying that we must wait for a year or get a powerful computer.It has been a year since those posts have been made (i think i recall them in 121 but i am not too sure) and I cannot play this game with a decent speed yet. I have tested in a lot of computers, laptops, desktops and have in mind that a desktop of 256 mb of video is really powerful for gaming; and still it does not work. At first I thought it was the ROM which was in spanish but then finally got a version in english and it did not work either. There have been other threads in pages talking about this specific rom but they all concluded that it is not possible to play this and waiting may be a good choice. Anyone has suggestions for this? (do not tell me to run in disaster 10 mhz because it does not work either or closing programs or giving high priority to the emulator I have tested almost anything)Oh, and if you are interested, I can run almost any Nintendo DS rom but this one, so if you need help with a certain rom I can help.

can't play Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled this in no$ after 1st battle with slimes the screen just goes black 4ever. this is 2nd game i've downloaded and won't work on no$ it's going extinct!
